Never Let Go

Disclaimer: I don't own the Power Rangers.

Summary: Sequel to "Can't Let Go." Read that first. After tragedy strikes, can Ashley and Andros find their way back to each other.

Pinkrangerfan: Lol! That would have been funny if Ashley's dad had reacted like that, but he would have had to think about Ashley. She wouldn't have liked that.

Vampire's Heartache: Thank you! You have a sick sense of humor…just like me. Lol! This is probably why I enjoy your comments so much.

JasonLeeScottFan: Thanks! Rikai is pronounced Rick + 'I', ai = long 'I' sound like the 'I' in the word time. I hope that helps.

Emily bradit: Yay! Good news for once. Lol

xSapphirexRosesxFanx: Yeah I thought that was funny and cute too.

LunarFairyPrincess1989: Thank you so much! Here's the next and last chapter.

AH/AY: I'm sorry don't cry, but all good things must come to an end. Hope you enjoyed the story.

Epilogue: The Broken Road

One Year…And Nine Months Later

"Papa, nana," Ava, in her red and yellow polka dot swimsuit, ran to her grandparents, Zavier and Sondria. "Hi uncle Trenton."

"Hi Ava." Zavier scooped his three-year-old granddaughter up and hugged her. "Where's the birthday boy?"

"He's in the pool with everyone else." She explained as her papa put her down. "You want to go to the pool Trenton?"

"Yeah!" The boy answered excitedly and ran behind his niece.

Zavier and Sondria followed them in to the kitchen where Karone sat in her purple tankini with an infant in her arms. "Mom, Dad." She beamed.

"Hey, honey." Sondria kneeled and kissed her daughter's cheek then turned her attention to the baby in her daughter's arms. "Hi Kayden." She cooed. "How's nana's boy?"

"Full." Karone responded. "I just fed him his bottle. Could you burp him for me while I put his things away?"

"You don't have to ask me twice." She grabbed her grandson and began to pat his back.

Karone stood and hugged her father. "Hey daddy."

He kissed the top on her head. "Hi sweetheart." He looked over at his wife and second grandson. "He's getting so big."

Karone smiled. "Yeah that's my big guy." She looked at her father again. "You can put the gift on the table outside. We'll be there in a minute."

"Okay." He kissed her head again and walked out of the patio door.

The noise outside could only be described as pure happiness. The children and parents played and splashed around in the huge pool.

Ava and Claire, Carlos and Cassie's daughter, played in the in-ground kiddie pool with Tricia and Dewayne keeping watch.

Kate, in her blue swimsuit, sat with her feet dangling in the water rubbing her seven months pregnant belly. She watched her husband, Cassie, Ashley, and Carlos play water volleyball; the game which Cassie and Ashley were currently winning.

Zhane and Trenton were having a dunking war of which Trenton dominated.

Andros stood at the grill in his red swim trunks with his son in one hand while telekinetically checking and turning the food on the grill.

Andros looked at the patio door and saw his father. "Hey dad."

Zavier said his hellos as he walked by and stood in front of Andros and his first grandson. "There's the birthday boy." Zavier smiled.

"Papa." The one-year-old reached for him.

"Hey, Talon." Zavier happily took his grandson and looked at his son. "Hey, Rikai." He pulled his son in a one armed hug.

Andros smiled. "I'll take the gift." He grabbed the gift bag from his father and put in on the table a few yards away. "Food's almost ready." He said when he came back. "Where's mom?"

"Inside with Karone and Kayden."

"Hey dad." Ashley came up beside Zavier and kissed his cheek. "How are you?"

"Good." He smiled at her.

"Mommy!" Talon held his arms out for her and Zavier handed him to her.

"Hey baby." She smiled at him. "You having fun with papa and daddy."

"Yeah." He answered happily.

Sondria walked up beside them with Kayden in her arms. The others looked over as Karone jumped in the pool to help Trenton with Zhane.

"Hey, sweetie." Sondria kissed Ashley's cheek.

"Hey mom." Ashley smiled.

She turned to Andros. "So I get to kiss the chef."

"Of course." He leaned down and kissed her cheek being mindful of Kayden.

"There's my other grandson." She beamed at Talon.

"Hi nana." Talon reached for her.

"I've got him." Zavier took Kayden from his wife so she could grab Talon.

"Happy Birthday." She smiled. "How old are you today?"

Talon proudly held up one finger.

Sondria laughed and lightly kissed him.

"So Andros," Ashley started. "You'd better get Zhane ready."

Andros grinned at her. "I take it you and Cassie beat Carlos and TJ."

"Was there any other possible outcome?"

"Cocky aren't we?"

"With reason."

"We'll see about that."

"Yes, we will. You've got five minutes. Be prepared." She grinned at him then turned to her son. "You wanna go play with Claire and Ava?" Talon nodded eagerly. Ashley grabbed Kayden and she and Sondria took the kids over to the kiddie pool.

"I forget how competitive Ashley is." Zavier commented with a smile.

Andros laughed. "You've never seen me and her spar together." He glanced at his wife. "I believe she takes personal pleasure in kicking my ass."

Zavier couldn't help but laugh. "I'd pay to see that."

"So would a lot of other people." He looked at his father. "So, how are things?"

"Perfect actually." Zavier started. "You're aunt's coming here next week. She says she's sorry she missed Talon's birthday. There was an emergency at the hospital."

"She called me. I told her it was fine. How are things at work?" He watched his father's eyes light up like a child's. "Enjoying the new promotion I see." His father worked at the IGC repairing the shuttles they used.

"I never thought I'd get to work with space shuttles that advanced." He looked at his son. "Thank you for that."

Andros smiled. He'd reclaimed his position as the head of the IGC once Zhane all but threw it at him and jumped for joy. Zhane never really liked the position anyway. "It's no problem dad. You're a major asset."

"Hey Iron Chef." Ashley called. Trenton, Karone, and Carlos now sat next to Kate and TJ to watch the showdown. "Your five minutes are up. Get down here."

Andros turned to Zavier and gestured towards the grill. "You mind?"

"Not at all." He picked up the discarded two pronged fork and began to poke at the meat. "Go ahead and get served by your wife." He said loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Wow, thanks dad." Andros laughed and jumped in the pool.

Zavier watched as the girls quickly scored on the guys.

"Go Cassie!" Carlos called.

"Hey!" Zhane objected. "You're supposed to be on ours side."

Carlos shrugged. "Sorry, but I have to go home with her."

"Good job baby." Cassie smiled at him, while the others laughed.

Zavier stood watching them. He never thought he would end up here and happy on Earth, let alone be a father and a grandfather. One thing he knew for sure was that he wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Later that night…

Ashley stood on the balcony of her house like she had what seemed like a lifetime ago. She never dreamed that she would be here now, with the man that she'd always loved.

She smiled when she heard the patio door slide open and absentmindedly played with the necklace around her neck.

Andros wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his head on her shoulder. "The kids are finally asleep." He whispered and kissed her cheek.

"Sorry to leave that up to you."

"It's okay." He sighed. "I owed you for last night anyway. I swear that boy just doesn't like to sleep."

She laughed. "Talon believes he's going to miss something if he closes his eyes. Let's just hope he grows out of that by his next birthday."

He grabbed her right hand and kissed the light scar on her palm before touching her necklace. "Third time's the charm." He teased referring to the third last time he'd given her the necklace. "Did you think we'd ever end up here after everything that's happened?"

"No." She turned in his arms and kissed his lips. "But I guess some things are just meant to be."

Andros hesitated for a moment and then smiled. "Does something seem familiar about this?"

"Wow," Ashley laughed. "I'd nearly forgotten." She gazed at him. "This is the moment we saw nearly two years ago."

"And I have the perfect way to top this off." He stated and kissed her. "Give me a minute."

Ashley smiled curiously at him when he dashed back into the house and grabbed his IPOD and dock. "Our wedding song." Ashley reminisced as the music played.

Rascal Flats began to play from the speakers. Andros held a hand out towards Ashley. "May I have this dance?"

She put her hand in his. "Yes you may." She pressed her cheek against his as they swayed to the music.

They couldn't help but think about all the things in their lives that had kept them apart, and all the things that had brought them back together. It was a long, winding and treacherous journey, but it led them here to this moment, and they would never let each other go again.

They figured that was why they'd picked this song in the first place. And as the song played they held on to the lyrics…

"This much I know is true…That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you."

(A/N: It's finished! From 'Can't Let Go' to 'Never Let Go' and I think it ended on a happy note. For those of you who haven't gotten their fill. I'm going back and writing the wedding as a short story so please be patient. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Please review. Thanks!)
