Sam was looking through papers when she heard and felt someone come in. She looked over to see who it was. It only took a second to figure out who was in control. "Hello Lantash."

"Hello." He put a hand on her back before giving her a kiss on the cheek. "What are you doing?"

"Just looking at some reports." She picked up a piece of paper. "This one is about symbiotes."

"Goa'uld or Tok'ra?"

"Both. Mostly about your brains." She smiled when she saw touch his hair. "No, your brains, not Martouf's brains." She watched him smile as she took his hand. "Which would be around..." She tried did her best to position his hand over himself. "...here."

"More like here," Lantash said as he moved his hand up a bit.

Sam rubbed her fingers over the back of his head. "What's your first memory?"

"I have a lot of them."

"Your first memory, not the oldest you happened to be born with.

"Being squished."

Sam frowned. "Who was squishing you?"

"My siblings...and my queen. I was somewhere warm and dark, but my siblings and I were all squished together. They kept disappearing, and then suddenly I was moving. It's a bit strange to be squished along."

"You remember being born?"

Lantash gave a nod. "Most symbiotes do. I didn't like it, so I tried to squirm away. Suddenly I was somewhere bright and cold, and I couldn't find my siblings." He frowned. "It wasn't fun."

"Didn't like being born?"

"It was cold," he repeated with a bit emphasis.

"Aw," Sam said before kissing him and giving the back of Martouf's neck a squeeze.

"And lonely," he added, "but then I heard them. I began accessing the memories I was created with, and I knew about my queen and her mission."

"That's a big mission to deal with when you are only a few seconds old."

Lantash smiled. "Well, I didn't fully understand it at the time. I was mostly just trying to figure out where I was... Then I was hungry."

Sam gave a small laugh. "Did you eat?"

"Yes, I detected food in the water and followed the source. It was another Tok'ra, blended already, putting food in the water."

"Anyone I know?"

"Selmak." Lantash smiled.

Sam grinned. "I don't remember being born."

"Neither does Martouf."

Sam ran her fingers through his hair. "So, what is the earliest memory you have that isn't yours."

"Earliest? That would have to be from my queen's queen's queen's queen...or as you would say...my great great grandqueen."

What's that memory?"

Lantash grinned. "Being squished."
