Title: Look
Summary: "…she looked at him, hoping that he would be looking back at her, sharing her thoughts." Juliet/Sawyer
Author's Note: This is a very short piece, a double drabble (although it seems people have varying definitions of the word "drabble," I've always heard it was a 100 word piece).
Spoilers for the finale.
This fic is not about Juliet's final minutes; I believe enough good fic writers have addressed this matter. I really don't know how to give you a good summary, so just read it! :)
Enjoy,
Sara

"Because if we never meet, I'll never have to lose you."
It sounded so cliché, so unbelievably selfish, so wrong. She'd already lost him, of course. As Rose and Bernard spoke of their life and love, she looked at him, hoping that he would be looking back at her, sharing her thoughts.
And he was looking at Kate.
Everything inside her fell; her heart sank into the pit of her stomach. She tore her eyes away from him before he could look back at her (if he ever did). Three years.

Jack stood over the opening, the bomb in his hand. She didn't know what he was doing. Hesitating. Was he indecisive, after all this?
She kept her gun forward; her gaze flitted from Jack to James. James held Phil, gun pressed against his temple. None of the workers moved.
Jack dropped it. James pushed Phil aside and sought out her gaze. His eyes locked with hers. He proved himself then. She would be the last thing he saw. He would be the last thing she saw.
She braced for impact, ready for this to be over – she knew she hadn't lost him. He loved her. He chose her.
