A secret for two

-Summary: This is based on the CSI: NY episode 3x18, sleight out of hands.

Danny travels all the way from NY to Montana, and what happens after the court.

Danny watched her witnessing, the way her big brown eyes filled with tears while she told the court about what happened 10 years ago. How a man, a man who was sitting there only 5 meters from her, had killed her friends at the diner a summer night while she had been at the toilet washing her hands. She was the only survivor, and the only witness. She hadn't told Danny at first, but Stella and Mac had informed the rest of the team.

She walked down to him after she was done witnessing. She had seemed surprised that he had came here to her, but she didn't seem mad or anything. Actually pretty happy! Pleased that he had came there to be with her, help her through it all.

She sat there, next to him, head on his shoulders, listening to the final decision. "We find the suspect, guilty for murder in third degreed," cheering was sounded in the court room, and Lindsay let out a gasp. Finally they had got him, and convicted him!

She and Danny stood up. Danny took her into a hug. He was about to go, not letting go of her hand, but she didn't move. He turned and looked at her. She was smiling. He grinned when she pulled him closer to her, just about to lay her lips on his, but of course, the media came and ruined everything. Danny smiled at her while he pulled her with him out of the court hall.

They got out on the street, and Danny felt a slight of embarrassment. She laughed, and haled a cab.

"I kind' a just jumped on the first plane here, with no clothes or anything," Danny said, looking down on the floor of the cab. "Ha ha, you can stay at my hotel room smartass," Lindsay smiled at him, squeezing his hand lightly. He looked up with a smile.

Later that night, they ordered some pizza, and ate it in front of the little TV at Lindsay's room.

"How come you're not staying at your parent's farm?" Danny asked a little later, when they were getting ready to go to bed. "I don't know, I didn't feel right about it. Come there, cry for some days, go to court, then be back one more day, crying, and then go back home," Lindsay said quiet. Danny folded his arms around her waist, standing with his head leaning on the back of her head.

She moaned tiredly," maybe we should just go to bed," Danny laughed into her neck.

"Yeah, probably," Lindsay smiled, and walked over to the bathroom, out of Danny's grip.

Ten minutes later she came back into the room. Danny stood over the couch making it ready so he could sleep on it. She looked at him with raised eyebrows. "What?" he asked, "I thought you were going to sleep with me, in the bed!" Lindsay smiled at him. "You shore?" He looked unsecured, but she nodded, making him smile.

They got into the bedroom, and Lindsay cuddled into Danny's chest, making him automatically fold his arms around him.

"When we're back, please don't tell Mac, alright?" Danny said against her head,

"Why not? He doesn't know you're here?? What about work anyway?" Lindsay said tiredly. "Well, he gave me two days off, to get some sleep. I think I made him a little bit crazy." Danny smiled innocent. "Why? You missed me that much?" Lindsay asked with sarcasm in her voice. "Well, you know. I didn't know how you were handling it! I was worried!" Lindsay laughed of his answer.

"But you promise not to tell?" Danny asked, looking down at her, "Yeah, yeah! This is a secret, a secret for two," Lindsay smiled, and cuddled more into him. He kissed her head, and soon they were both asleep.
