Inside of a dark, metal paneled room, lit with only a deep red light, several men worked tirelessly away at wall mounted computer terminals as an alarm blared loudly. Behind them, the door to the room slid open, letting in ambient light from the hall as two men came rushing in. One of them was Dr. Gray, and the other was a man dressed in a highly decorated military uniform.

"What's happening?" Dr. Gray asked of one of the men working at a computer terminal.

"The Ecto-Exodus Alarm is responding to another situation that we're picking up on radar," the man explained as he typed away furiously on his keyboard. "Displaying now," he said after a moment of typing before he and the two men looked up at the wall mounted screen.

A map of the town appeared with several dots scattered around. Each dot was labeled with a number, each ranging from 8 to 11.

"There's more of them than last time," Dr. Gray muttered in exasperation.

"Situation and status," the military man ordered, not looking away from the screen as he scanned it with his eyes.

"They appear to be mounting another strike on the city," the man answered him as he adjusted a pair of glasses. "And it seems they've brought along a couple of friends to join in," he further explained.

"They must be hunting for us," Dr. Gray speculated. "We've almost finished evacuating the whole town, there's nothing left up there for them to terrorize," he wondered with concern.

"Put out an order for an assault strike on my command!" the military man barked at another computer operator. "We're taking the fight to them this time around," he growled angrily as he raised his hand and balled it into a fist.

"Yes, sir. Right away, sir," the nervous man obliged as he put on a headset and began to rely orders into it.

"Now might be the time for you to bring out your special assault team," the military man suggested of Dr. Gray, bringing him out of his worried thoughts.

"I'm sure their more than ready, but they are still ill prepared," he reminded the military man with a stern gaze of his own. "They don't have the resources to challenge anything over a level 9 ecto-plasmic entity, let alone a level 10 or 11," he warned. "I wouldn't advise it right now," he said, shaking his head.

"What about that new prototype you science nerds have been working on?" the military man inquired.

"Sir, the new prototype we've been working on hasn't been tested yet," the first computer worker with glasses informed him, turning so he was looking at him over the back of his chair. "It's never seen any field experience. It might not even work at all. It could still kill its user," he warned, fearing for whomever has to use it so prematurely.

"Well then, I guess this will be a good test run," the military man figured before he turned back to Dr. Gray with a serious and severe look in his eyes. "Boot it up, and put it to use, regardless of your predicted outcome," he ordered before he turned and left the room.

Dr. Gray sighed with defeat before the view suddenly cut to a metal paneled door with a split in the middle. The two halves began to separate as steam hissed and smoke rolled out through the separating doors, revealing a shadowed shape within. Only a close up view of the object's metal plating revealed the presence of the Axion Labs symbol before all went dark.
