.[Chapter Fifty].

Ooc: Just a very short chapter to prove that I'm still working on this. I've been finding it very difficult to write lately with my daughter having taken up the majority of my time but I hope you can find this piece okay! I'm sorry for how short that it is! Please be patient with me!

There were so many feelings that were floating about the young woman's heart that she could barely grab hold of any of them. Was this truly the Damion that she had known growing up rather than the evil monster that she had met in Gabriels bedroom? If so who was the man that she had seen? Who was the one that had invaded and that she had murdered? So many questions with so little answers. It seemed her life was just getting more and more complicated as the minutes and seconds drove on, and nothing made sense anymore. Even when things were answered they were answered with confusing things. To be part of a holy trinity? To be part of faith itself? What in the world did that mean exactly? As the couple strode on through the array of hues and colours that made up the encephalon dive, silence followed them behind. Faith's mind was too preoccupied with questions, while Damion knew not to interfere with her thoughts. He knew she was too shocked with what was going on to add more stress onto her. And then there was the event with Lock that they needed to look into. And that was breaking Faiths heart. Her friend was essentially dead. Walking dead. How long could Faith hold her soul in the Encephalon Dive? Mere minutes more or perhaps an eternity?

Before Faith was even able to think more about her beloved friend whom she had only recently made through her waitressing job, a voice interrupted her thoughts; "Faith, let's go now." And it was that of Damion.

She blinked for a few moments, getting out of her hazy daydream that she had engulfed herself into before locking eyes with the man that she had once loved so much but now held such a mix bag of emotions for. When she gazed into his shatteringly gorgeous blue eyes she couldn't decipher between the love and hate she held from the events that had occured between them, whether the one event was with an imposter or not. Damion had been a second father to her, a man that had taught her so much and had loved on her endlessly yet that one morning had ruined all of that. With a dry mouth Faith managed to speak;

"You came into Gabriel's room," her voice was melow, calm and collected; a rare thing for such an eccentric young woman. "And told me and Gaignun many things. You told us that we were basically reincarnated and that your death would result in my death and the babies death-"

"Baby?" he quickly cut her off, with a confused look to his face. With dark brows furrowed he shook his head. "What baby?" and with such confusion she couldn't help but believe that he truly was telling the truth; that there was an imposter who had taken Damion's place during those moments in the house, but for how long had Damion been taken over? Days? Weeks? Months? It couldn't have been long at all.

"I'm pregnant," Faith replied, matter of factly; she couldn't make a big dance of her pregnancy at this moment in time nor could she ignore it either. Damion froze instantly, before speaking quickly;

"Then we must get this demon out of you soon," his voice was that of sheer concern. "Before the baby is born in case it is born within it."

And these were not thoughts Faith had thought of until then. Not once did she think the baby could too be infected with whatever was infecting her. And that thought; that horror, caused tears to well up in her eyes. But no, she could not allow herself to cry or to become emotional. There were far too many things at stake and too many things that needed to be sorted out first before that could be thought of. She needed to continue the conversation in regards to Damion before speaking about her child and she needed to do that sooner rather than later. Time was obviously not on their side. As if she had not heard him, she continued her talk about the last prior moments "they" had shared together;

"I attacked you," Faith began again. "And you died. But before you did you told us you would live on in the other form and I'm assuming that meant one of two things; that you would continue living in the true form of yourself and that whatever was impersonating you would continue living as its true self. Now. Are you sure you've been here for the last few days?"

"Yes, Faith," he replied, with honestly laden in his voice. "I've been trapped in this dive. The last I can remember is being escorted by a white headed man."

'A white headed man? Could that be Albedo? No. He couldn't be behind all this…' Faith thought to herself. She asked; "Can you remember the colour of his eyes?"

"Red," Damion replied quickly. "Deep, crimson, red. And he called himself Wilhelm."

"Do you believe in fate? Yes, I do. Of course I do. But I see all. I witness all that there is in the world. I see the chess pieces as they move; I am the boards Master; the leader of the world if you will. Yet this girl had been unnoticed by my eyes. Only recently has she been in my radar. Never have I witnessed Faith before; even when I watched those connected to her their lives around her were hidden from my view. I do not know why. I cannot understand why and that frustrates me. I've never experienced that emotion; frustration. It baffles me almost. A lot of this baffles me. How is she even alive? How does she exist? Well, we are going to find out. You shall be placed in her mind and you shall be finding out exactly what she is and who she is," the words of the white headed, red eyed, man were smooth as silk; splendid almost to befall the ears of Damion Blanc yet his words were ones that almost frightened the poor butler. "You are all magnificent beings that have escaped my vision but no longer will you be out of my eye sight. No, no longer will you be hidden from me. I will watch you forever."
