For The Sacred and Profane. Even though this is nothing more than a friendship drabble hopefully it will lead me intomore and better Reno/Tifa stories to share.

Full of It

Around this time on the weekend Seventh Heaven was full of drunks either trying to drown their sorrows or get a party started. On weekdays business was often sluggish, this Tifa was used too but this sluggish? Only two people accompanied her in the bar. Just two. Just him.

"Exactly why does Mr. Silent over there always were sunglasses? Even at night?" Today was certainly a slow day, Tifa had resorted to striking up a conversation with the red haired menace known as Reno. Her once enemy, once aly, now patron and sometimes friend depending on her level of tolerance and his level of impertinence.

Paying customer or not Reno still had no right to leisurely prop his dirty, muddy shoes on her just cleaned bar. Theres was a complicated company.

Shaking off the blunt blow to the head, Reno looked over at the now passed out Rude, "He has sensitive eyes,"

Tifa considered this for a moment as well as considered the chance of Rude having a drinking problem. "Is that so?" she asked rhetorically.

"Yeah," Reno remarked casually. "He always has. Once when we were teenagers, before The Turks, he stared directly into a firaga spell at the peak of casting," Tifa listened with interest, her eyes shifting from her job at hand, re-cleaning the bar Reno had dirtied and the unconscious intoxicated man that lay sprawled out on a booth.

"It really messed up his eyeballs," Reno continued. The Red Headed Turk had ingested just as much, if not more alcohol than his friend but due to Reno's high threshold he was able to remain functioning and witty and therefore continue his tale, dramatics and all.. "Doctors thought they might have to take them out."

"Take out his eyes?" Tifa questioned out loud. She'd never heard such a thing.

"Yeah...they were afraid the nerve damage would spread to his brain or s'mothing like that."

"That doesn't make very much sense, Reno."

"Well you asked and I told you," Reno shrugged. "That's also how he went bald, ya'know. Fire burned off his hair. Never grew back."

Reno kept a straight face. An excellent poker face if she ever saw one but that didn't matter. He could fool her for only so long before she caught on to his bullshit. Feeling a bit stupid for half-way buying it in the first place she snarled in playful manner, "You're full of it."

"Full of what? Sexiness? Awesomeness? Alcohol?"

Considering each of those three things, "Among other things."
