Yay! Another Shassie!
Victoria disappointed me so I needed to make it right :D lol
Was I the only one that really did not think she would be like that? Oh well, ENJOY!!
It took all Lassiter had to keep from slamming his head on his deak.
Yesterday he had signed his divorce papers and given a speech to his now ex-wife. A speech he knew was total crap. The main point of it was to try and get Victoria back to him. A pathetic one.
The sad thing was he didn't really even care about Victoria all that much anymore. Carlton Lassiter's biggest fear was being alone.
Sure, he always pushed people away, but only to weed out who actually cared. Then, he got so used to it he was a jerk 24/7 now.
Lassiter was so caught up in his thoughts he didn't notice a certain psuchic approach him until Shawn jumped up onto Lassiter's desk.
Lassiter didn't have the energy to yell. "Please get off Spencer."
Shawn looked at him like he'd grown a second head. "Lassi, did you just say please? Nicely?"
Lassiter leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. "Not now Shawn. Please not now."
He heard Shawn slip off his desk and thought the fake psychic had left until he felt someone grab his arm and pull him out of his chair.
Carlton's eyes shot open and he found himself being tugged towards the records room by Shawn. "Spencer, what the hell?"
"Shhh."
"But-"
"Shhhh!"
Surprisingly Lassiter listened and he allowed himself to be pulled the rest of the way.
Once there Shawn opened the door, pushed Carlton in, and then closed the door and stood in front of it with his arms crossed.
"I have work to do, what do you want?"
Shawn looked hurt and for a second Lassiter felt bad.
Then he went back to his old ways. "Damnit Spencer let me get back to work!"
He tried to shoved past Shawn and to his surprise Shawn let himself get pushed. Shocked, Lassiter turned around.
Shawn looked like he was about to cry.
Carlton's mouth opened but he couldn't get any words out. For the first time in years his grouchy mask crumbled away completely.
Lassiter took a step closer to Shawn and wrapped his arms around the younger man. "Sorry. I'm so sorry."
Shawn smiled and pulled back and looked up at the head detective.
To both of their surprises he was crying.
"Lassi...."
Lassiter looked down and tried to stop, but failed miserably.
Shawn grabbed Lassiter's chin gently and forced him to look up. "It's ok Carlton."
He reached up and wiped the older man's tears away.
Lassiter smiled. "You called me Carlton."
Shawn smiled back. "You called me Shawn."
Then, they both leaned forward and kissed the other.
This wasn't a forced kiss like so many Carlton had shared with his ex-wife, this was a passionate and real kiss.
Lassiter pulled Shawn closer and their kiss turned into a series of kisses.
Before it got too intimate there was a knock on the door. Both men pulled apart as the door opened and McNabb stepped in.
He noticed the two men's flushed faces and got concerned. "Is everything ok?"
Shawn nodded and Buzz calmed down a bit. "Lassiter, you gave some more paperwork to fill out and the Chief says she wants it done now."
McNabb got ready to be yelled at but Lassiter smiled (smiled!) at him. "Thanks McNabb."
McNabb was left frozen as the detective walked past him and back to his desk.
He looked questioningly at Shawn, who grinned.
"Maybe he'll be happier from now on." The pseudo psychic said as he walked out of the room.
Buzz couldn't even imagine what might have happened in the records room.
Bumbumbuummmmm the records room strikes again
Review please!
