LOVE BIRD – 6918

Mukuro was bored. He didn't like being bored. Ken and Chikusa were out somewhere, doing something, and definitely being far more entertained than Mukuro was. He was not having fun, and wondered just how long it would take for him to snap and go kill somebody. He decided to rummage through his things to see if he had a stopwatch. It would be good to time such an occurrence, for future reference.

It was when he was throwing around a pile of his clothes that he realized he was being watched by a small bird in the window. Mukuro instantly recognized it as one of Bird's birds, but since he was longer around, that could only meant that it belonged to Hibari. Mukuro smiled and walked up to the bird, reaching out with a finger and making generally calming noises so it would not fly away.

Hibird took a moment from fluffing his feathers to hop onto Mukuro's finger, twittering lightly and hopping up his arm before resting on the man's shoulder. Mukuro smiled, an idea forming in his head. He walked over to his things, pulling out a piece of paper and a pencil. Hibird was distracting, as he kept pulling at his hair and pecking his earlobe, but Mukuro soon finished his note and tied it Hibird's neck, since the bird's tiny legs were hardly something he could easily access.

He sent Hibird away, and the bird flapped his wings heavily to compensate for the paper around his neck as he made his way to Hibari. Mukuro found his stopwatch and set it off, counting down the minutes before he would gain some recognition.

After fifteen minutes and thirty-two seconds, Hibird came flapping back to his window, a new note tied around his neck. Mukuro carefully removed it and opened the piece of paper, grinning to himself.

'Say anything like that to me again and I'll bite you to death.

And no, not in that way, stupid pervert.

Hibari.'
