Martha wasn't quite sure she believed the Doctor's timey-wimey detector would work. They'd been here for a few weeks already and had done as much as they could from the notes Sally had given them, but the Doctor's detector seemed to be an important part of the plan and he just kept fiddling with it.
While she worked in a shop.
She scowled and glared in the Doctor's direction—he didn't notice.
She was just about to ask him to move his stuff off the dinner table when the thing let out a very loud ding—causing them both to jump.
The Doctor regarded it with as much surprise as Martha did.
He pulled his stethoscope out of his pocket and put it on the device.
"That's weird—it detected a time jump, but rather far away—I'd say middle America?"
Martha groaned, "Don't tell me we have to go to America to find Billy."
"No, no the information clearly says he lands in 1969, which means he was touched by the same angel as we were, which means he will be in the same general location as we were."
Martha raised an eyebrow, but didn't question his logic—he knew way more about time travel than she did.
"So what's got it dinging?"
"Don't know—we'll have to figure that out once we have the TARDIS back."

On the other side of the world, SG-1 looked around confused as the Stargate faded from view and the butt end of a rocket appeared above their heads.
