Few things in life are certain. Death, however, is one of them.
"You know," Mukuro looked thoughtfully around at their current surroundings, "I always pictured this a little differently. More fire, brimstone, the sounds of screaming and torment. You think we're in the right place?" He threw at glance at the person sitting across from him.
Hibari leaned his apathetic expression on one hand, "I'm bored and here with you, I have no doubt where we are."
The two Vongola hit men found themselves amidst a sea of nothing. Pure white as far as either could comprehend. No walls, floors or doors. No sounds indicating other people or even life around. Only thing they had seen upon arrival was a rod iron Tuscan style table with matching chairs, probably seen on any terrace in Italy. Together they both sat, Mukuro contributing to more of the conversation than Hibari, who simply sighed, crossing his right leg over the left, elbow and hand supporting the weight of his growing boredom.
"Well, we have an eternity it seems, care to open up a bit?" Mukuro smirked at his counterpart who only glared back. "Fine, fine, I get the hint. Well then if this is how it's going to be, care to make it fun?"
Finally, Mukuro got Hibari to acknowledge him. "Explain."
Mukuro laughed, "You assume I've never been to hell before? Been too many times to count. Needless to say," he paused locking eyes with Hibari, "Want to take down a god? Escape from this afterlife?"
As Mukuro finished a door formed behind him.
A wiry smile curled over Hibari's lips. "Wao."
Tonfa's and Trident in hand, they stood before the door.
"By the way," Hibari said as Mukuro reached for the handle, "I didn't assume that you had never been here before, I'm actually surprised you don't run this place."
"Who said I don't?" Mukuro whispered to the Cloud Guardian.
The smile on Hibari's face widened.
END
Author's Notes: I'm normally not a big fan of death ficts but an image formed of Mukuro and Hibari sitting at table, Hibari bored and Mukuro annoying him. XD That would be hell for Hibari. The end is a small nod to cerepan's awesome fict about Mukuro actually being the god of the underworld XD I think this is the most Hibari has ever talked in one of my ficts XD
