X-men: A Final Hurrah

Hello, my name is Logan. I'm going to tell you a story about a lost and scared mutant of my time. If I did the right thing is for you to decide when I'm finished with my tale. I will try to recount all the events, but it has been quite a few years. Well…here goes.

Prologue

"Where the hell is she!?" roared the governor of New York. He paced his office in irritation. "I don't understand; you had her in custody and she escapes!"

The officers sitting in his office were becoming uncomfortable and starting to fidget nervously. The governor continued his tirade.

"Do you realize what you have allowed to happen? You have unleashed one of the three most powerful mutants in the world! She could very well kill us and half the population of the state...half the continent if she wanted to!" he yelled.

The officers knew he was right and they winced at the thought of half the country suddenly up and dying.

She ran not daring to stop, not even to look back. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest. Arwin was twenty, five-six, lean, wavy blonde hair, and one hundred and ten pounds of pure power. She was a very special mutant, one of the three in fact.

"What did I do to deserve capture? Oh wait, I know the answer to that question." she thought. She kept running. She ran on through the night and finally came to the one mutant haven she knew of, Charles Xavier's School for Talented Youngsters. She was tired and all she could think about was a shower and sleep. She went up the stairs and knocked on the heavy, oak double-doors. No one answered. She knocked again. This time a young teenage girl opened the door and let her in without a word; she just looked, more like stared, at her.

Authors note: I will be posting the next chapter soon. Hope you enjoy this and yes there will be fluffy romance later to come. Reviews are appreciated. No flames please.
