The hero and the princess.

The ball after the tournament had started and Ash was sitting on his throne totally bored. He was watching someone on the floor, who, to his surprise, wasn't dancing with anyone at all. May just sat at the food table looking almost as bored as he was. She looked up at him and smiled suddenly gesturing for him to come down and dance. He cheered up and jumped up to run to her before he heard a cough from behind him. He immediately realised it was the lady who had told him to stay seated earlier and he sat down again. He looked back at May who seemed like she was pretty upset about something. He smiled but she just turned away and ran to the dance floor seeing if there was anyone to dance with, she obviously found someone and started dancing.

"Wonder why she suddenly did that?" He asked himself out loud, "Humph, to bad that flippin' lady saw me, I really would have liked a dance with her." He looked at her and the guy she was dancing with and frowned, she looked so happy with him "What's so special about him anyway? Not as if she knows him but she already looks happy."

With May…

'Humph, this should make him jealous enough to come down and dance, I ask him and he just stands up and sits back down like it's more interesting that dancing.' May thought as she continued to act happy dancing. She obviously didn't know about Ash's 'duties' as guardian. So she continued to dance trying to make Ash jealous and dance with her. Little did she know he already was Supercalifragilisticexpialidociously jealous of the guy she was dancing with. He was actually getting quite angry.

With Ash…

"For Ho-Oh's sake! Why is she dancing with that guy?!" He exclaimed angrily clenching his fists.

"Something wrong?" The lady asked.

"NO!"

"Obviously there is."

"So what, it's nothing to do with you." He sighed.

"Well I can tell you want to dance with that girl you keep staring at and I've talked to My Lady and she said that you can have one dance with her before you have to perform your last duty." She smiled. Ash's mouth turned into a huge smile as he ran down to the dance floor and to May. She saw him coming and ran over to him too, leaving her dance partner confused.

When they made it to each other Ash smiled.

"Wanna dance then?"

"YAY!" May squealed taking Ash's hand and dragging him over to the middle of the floor. She put her hands on his shoulders and him taking her waist. May suddenly pulled herself closer to Ash, laying her head against his chest and sighing happily.

"Sorry about not comin' earlier, the lady wouldn't let me up till now. So it wasn't that I didn't want to dance, she just wouldn't let me." Ash explained.

May smiled up at him and giggled. "Its fine now, I understand."

They danced for a while and enjoyed every second of it. May was blushing really hard.

'Now might be the only chance I get, I've gotta tell him.' May thought.

"Hey Ash?" He looked down at her. "I need to say something, I-I L-love you…" She sighed. "You probably don't feel the same as you like Mist…" She was cut off by Ash's lips on hers, as he kissed she started to kiss back.

"And now the fireworks!" The queen announced, then she saw Ash, "But as the guardian seems to be a bit, busy." Everyone chuckled "They will start now!"

'Bang wish woo!' they popped.

Well that young couple are happy now.
