I'm new to Soul Eater but already completely obsessed. And I've had writer's block for a long time but finally I'm inspired enough to write something…… I hope.
Insanity
Standing in the hallway waiting for Soul, who had been given punishment for the last stunt he and Black Star had pulled, Maka started thinking.
She wasn't stupid. She had noticed what was happening with Professor Franken Stein. She recognized the look he sometimes got in his eyes. She recognized it all too well.
The black blood may have left her but it had left scars. Scars that were fresh and threatening to rip open at any moment. But the scars gave off a different feeling than the insane wavelengths of the Kishin. While the Kishin's wavelengths felt like they were pulling and probing, ready to tear her apart, the scars were oddly reassuring. giving her a sense of comfort.
Like a mothers goodnight kiss or a fathers proud smile.
Was insanity really that bad?
Maka leaned against the wall and looked up at the ceiling lost in thought.
Apart from the slight embarrassment that hadn't really mattered that much because she had been having fun, oh so much fun!, she hadn't felt bad about giving in to insanity. She hadn't felt like she was doing something wrong, hadn't felt like she had lost her mind. On the contrary, she had felt like she had found it.
And the power she had gained!
If she was that strong now would Soul still feel inadequate? Would his eyes still gaze at Justin Law and wonder? Wonder how and why and when?
How had he become so strong?
Why had he become so strong?
When would he, Soul, become that strong?
After all Soul was a weapon and could do nothing without his Meister, without Maka. But if Maka was strong, stronger, maybe he wouldn't wonder? Maybe he would be happy with her?
"Is insanity really that wrong?"
"Oii!! Maka, I've finished! Let's go!" Sould called from the end of the hall.
"Soul, wait up!" she called back and took off in a run to catch up with him, smiling when she did so.
"What are you so happy about?" Soul asked.
"Nothing, really. Just in a good mood." She said.
"Baka." Soul muttered but couldn't help the small twitch of his lips as they walked side by side down the stairs of Shibusen.
Maka laughed out loud, all the while hearing the jingling sound of a key in the back of her mind.
So?? What do you think?? Oh, and this is just a oneshot. Review please!!
