A NOTE TO MAKE YOU SMILE

Just a sweet little fic that I came up with. I've written a few fics where Austin does something nice for Sam and thought I'd even things out a bit. In all my other stories, I've had Sam living in a cottage, but I never said where Austin lived, so this fixes that as well. A Cinderella Story belongs to Disney.

Austin Ames walked back to his dorm room and dropped his backpack on the floor with a heavy sigh.

"What a day," he said to himself. Classes had been a bear. With another sigh, he opened his backpack, grabbed his history textbook, and began doing the assignment. When he was done, he rifled through his backpack, trying to figure out which subject to tackle next. He then picked out his math. Might as well get this outta the way, he thought to himself as he opened the book. He began to flip through the pages to the assigned chapter. Suddenly, he noticed something stuck in between two of the pages. What's this? he wondered to himself. He opened the pages further to find a small, folded note. Brows furrowed, he opened it. You're doing great, keep your chin up. Love you, the note read. Austin chuckled. Sam. He pulled out his phone and dialed her number.

"Hello?" he soon heard the voice of his girlfriend, Sam Montgomery.

"Got your note," he told her.

"I meant what I said. You are doing great and I do love you," she stated. He chuckled.

"Thanks. I really needed a pick me up," he said.

"Yeah. I noticed you looked a little down today," she said.

"Well, I appreciate the note."

"I'm glad."

"And I'd love to keep talking to you, but I've got a math assignment calling my name."

"Bummer." They both chuckled, and then hung up. With another sigh, he went to the assigned chapter and began working on it.
