Afterglow: Epilogue to All By Myself

Mark lay back and looked at the ceiling. To say Mark Sloan was a happy man was an understatement. He could not remember ever feeling this fulfilled. Last night had been a revelation, and the source of that revelation was now in his shower.

Lexie smiled as she lathered up. Never in a million years did she ever picture herself here. Here in Mark Sloan's shower, and he in the next room both spent from the hot and heavy love making sessions of the previous night. Yes there were sessions she thought back with glee.

Seeing Mark give a mute woman the ability to speak after five years of silence, plus Sadie mentioning Mark's attraction to her stirred Lexie to action. She was over George and intrigued with the idea of Mark Sloan. That is why she went to his hotel room, and yes she seduced him. For a minute she was afraid Sadie had misread his interest in her, but lo and behold Mark gave in to his baser instincts and took her to bed. Thinking of George again made Lexie shake her head. True there was no comparison between Mark and George and to be honest her and George as a couple equated to two Bambis caught in the headlights of an approaching 18 wheeler.

"I sure hope you haven't used up all the hot water Little Grey", Mark said as he pulled back the shower curtain to join her.

"What took you so long"?, Lexie asked huskily.

" I had to regain all feeling in my lower body first", Mark said with a grin.

"Let me wash your back for you".

"Forget my back Little Grey. There are other parts of me I would prefer you to lather up", Mark said in that oh so devilish voice that drove Lexie wild with desire.

After their joint shower, Mark and Lexie ordered a huge breakfast from room service. Mark was scheduled off, and Lexie decided to call in. No one would care. After all she was on probation. Plus neither one of them wanted to deal with the reality outside of Mark's plush hotel room. Tomorrow they would deal with that. Today was another matter. Today they could be themselves without interference and judgement from estranged half sisters and their overprotective boyfriends. Today... was all that mattered.
