Everything was so clear now.

It was as if a thick veil had lifted itself off her eyes, and everywhere she looked, things were different. Her thoughts and even her voice sounded different; as there was no presence of coldness in them, instead there was warmth. It was a warmness that ran through her veins and engulfed her heart, and chased away the coldness from every inch of her mind and soul.

All these feelings felt so new and alien that it made her feel vulnerable, even scared. Fear was almost non-existent during her time as a soldier, but now it clenched at her insides and a wave of nausea swept through her.

This isn't me, she wanted to scream. The urge showed on her face, and she bit her lip in frustration.

"You're wrong." It was the voice from her dreams.

He continued. "She was always inside you, but you kept her hidden."

Allelujah…

Yellow eyes fluttered open as he cupped her face gently with his hands. There was a different kind of warmth now, one that radiated from his hands and his body, and from his undeniable presence. Her body reacted to it differently as well; she found herself welcoming the warmth, she wanted so badly to embrace it.

I'm scared…

"Me too," he chuckled softly, and pressed his lips to hers. The warmth was enveloping her now, filling the corners of her mind and body, but she no longer tried to fight it.

As he kissed her soft and sweet on the lips, her uncertainties melted away, leaving behind only the barest hint of her former self.

Goodbye, Soma Peiries…

Images and memories raced through her mind, the last moments of Soma. She cherished every one of them, but one stood out like an open wound.

An image of the retreating form of a man, straight-backed, proud and battle-scarred, soaked in rain. A man she had learned to love and respect with all her heart and soul.

She wrapped her arms tighter around Allelujah, not trying to hold back her tears anymore.

Goodbye, Papa…

The End

AN:

Pretty short but I'm satisfied with it. You can call this an AlleMarie fic, but basically it's about Marie saying goodbye to her old self and accepting Allelujah into her life. And because it's also about Soma, I added a little Sergei to give it a more complete feeling. I don't know about other people, but even though I've watched it many times, eps 7 still tugs at my heartstrings… :]
