A/N: This is a direct companion to 'Her Warlock'.

"Your heart."

-

Two words.

One finger on his chest.

-

And a command.

-

"I want it."

-

-

She demanded too much.

-

-

But he gives in.

She always won.

-

-

-

His hand grasps hers.

Ironic.

He knew he was the one wrapped around her fingers.

But he wonders.

-

-

"Why?"

He wanted to know why she was asking for this now.

Her answer comes naturally.

-

-

-

"It's the one thing you can leave me with."

-

-

-

And he frowns.

-

-

-

He didn't like that.

-

He wouldn't ever leave her.

-

-

"A remembrance of sorts."

-

That was what she said.

And he didn't appreciate it.

He couldn't bring himself to.

-

-

-

-

So he challenges her will.

-

-

-

-

"Is that the only thing you'll need?"

-

-

Because he hopes she wouldn't answer.

Or if she will, she'll say that one word...

-

-

-

-

"No."

-

-

-

-

Wish granted.

"What else would you need?"

-

-

And he recalls the contract.

'Grant one wish of mine.'

He thought those words were inappropriate.

'Love me.'

Were those two words so hard to say?

She just had to tell him.

And he'll obey.

-

-

-

-

But he knew her pride too much.

-

-

He knew that she didn't hope for anything anymore.

-

-

He was assured that she was his.

-

-

-

-

But for how long?

It haunts him.

-

-

-

-

-

And her answer comes...

-

-

-

"You."

-

-

-

He thought that he was satisfied.

-

He should be.

-

But he wasn't.

-

-

"So I should stay with you, then?"

-

-

-

-

-

Because he knows he should.

But was it possible?

He knew she was doubting him now.

-

-

"Of course."

-

-

She still says - but in a whisper.

Her eyes were downcast.

He should have known.

-

-

-

She wasn't hoping because she knew she shouldn't.

-

-

-

"Why?"

-

-

-

He asked because he wanted confirmation.

-

He gets what he wants.

-

-

-

And he feels hope when she sees it in her eyes.

-

-

-

-

-

-

"I'm your witch."

-

-

-

-

-

That answer was enough to make up his mind.

-

-

-

-

-

"So.. stay."

-

-

-

-

-

She was selfish enough to ask him for this.

-

-

-

And he accepts that.

-

-

-

-

-

"Or don't. It's your choice."

-

-

-

-

He didn't even try to have a choice.

-

-

-

-

-

-

So he asks.

-

-

-

-

-

"How long?"

-

-

-

.FINIS.

A/N: Yes. 69 lines. One sentence each. Just like the first one. ;) I say that 'Her Warlock' may follow directly after the last line. Sorry for the line breaks if they irked you - they're there for... some kind of emphasis.

I seriously tried to get a more serious outlook on C.C. and Lelouch's takes on immortality and staying together - while at the same time listening to my whims to make it drop-dead romantic.

Did I fail?

Hope you like it, anyhow!

(goes to work on thinking of a new addition for the 'Snippets of Three' series now.)
