Why Shino Doesn't Do "Superhero"

Kiba pestered him all day.

"Come on, man! Is there was any way you could be a superhero, which one would it be?"

Shino sighed. "Leave me alone, Kiba. I understand you would be Underdog, but there is no superhero that is even anything like me."

Kiba pondered for a moment. "What about Spiderman?"

"What!? No!" Shino was getting worn out. Kiba followed him into town, trying to get him to say a particular phrase.

"Come on, please?"

"No."

"You know, with great power comes great responsibility."

Shino stopped in the middle of the street. "Did you just say something intelli--"

"Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can…"

"Nope."

They continued through the crowd, Shino's annoyance growing.

"He can swing from a web. Friendly neighborhood Spiderman…"

"FINE! MY SPIDEY SENSE IS TINGLING! WILL YOU SHUT UP!"

Shino paused after the outburst to realize that he had just yelled that in the middle of an unusually crowded street. The entire crowd had stopped and stared. Shino went from an aggressive position to an embarrassed one. Several people had dropped their groceries. Another moment of awkward silence then…ear-splitting laughter. And Kiba was the loudest.

Shino punched him right in the face and stalked off. He could still feel the eyes on his back.

"I hate Kiba sometimes."

He then shot a string out of his wrist and flew off at top speed, swinging between buildings.

I don't know what possessed me to do it, but I thought it would be funny if Shino said, "My spidey sense is tingling." So this fic was born.
