This takes places after Minato moves in to the Izumo Inn when he took the offer of Miya with Musubi.

Summary:

Miya Asama speaks to Minato Sahashi after moving in to Izumo Inn, sharing some things with each other on the difficulties that they had faced.

Dining Room, Izumo Inn, somewhere in Tokyo, Japan

"How are you doing, Sahashi-san?"

Miya had been watching Minato as he ate his lunch, nicely prepared for him by the purple-haired woman. He didn't have to report in to the job at the nearby construction site until next week on Monday as today had been a Saturday.

"Anoo..." Minato placed his chopsticks down after he swallowed some rice and grilled fish. "It's quite good, Ms. Landlady." The black-haired ronin student smiled. "Thank you."

"I'm glad you enjoyed it."

"To be honest," Minato had his hands on the table. "it's the best thing next to my mom's cooked meals..."

Hmmm... Miya saw that Minato began to look a bit sad. "Sahashi-san..."

"I-I haven't tasted such good food..." Minato began to shake, his hands first. "since I had to move to Tokyo. Here I am living in this place after being kicked out due to a misunderstanding and having little allowance due to my college problems." Minato felt a teardrop fall from his left eye. "It's not fair..."

Miya felt sympathy for the ronin.

"I don't why it's like this. I mean, I haven't done anything to make my mom give me a hard time."

Minato felt Miya's comforting hands touch his left hand.

"Ms. Landlady..."

"First of all," Miya had that smile that never left her face. "call me Miya okay?" When Minato nodded, Miya continued to speak to him. "I see that you're encountered a lot of problems prior to moving to the Izumo Inn."

Minato was about to open his mouth when Miya raised her hand. "Please let me finish." She placed her hands on the table. "I had my share of difficulties too. Ever since my husband had passed away, I still have some challenges in running this establishment."

The ronin calmly ate his meal with Miya explaining herself. "I still mourn my husband's passing from time to time, but then I realized that if I wallow in self-pity all the time, I won't be able to move on."

Miya stood up and sat next to Minato, making his cheeks red.

"The important thing is for you to move on and believe in yourself, okay Sahashi-san?" The landlady hugged Minato briefly and pressed a kiss on his left temple.

"At least that's what I did." Miya ran her right hand on Minato's head. He's just like Takehito. "I'll be going to the kitchen to take care of something, so enjoy your lunch."

"H-hai." Minato replied, bowing his head as Miya retreated to the kitchen.

"Arigato, Miya-san." Minato smiled before he took some rice to his chopsticks and placed it on the insides of his mouth.

THE END

PS - First Sekirei story I did after requesting the subcategory. This has Minato/Miya written all over it, but it's in the form of drama, comfort and friendship perhaps. As much as I want to, I can't see to write romance between them yet. Perhaps someone more experienced can do it, yes?
