Daybreak:

an urequited love

Prologue

"How can this be real?" I whispered.

"Lilly," he edged forward. "Please don't. Don't pretend this isn't real. That we aren't real." He took another step towards me. I felt my pulse quicken as his hand gently caressed my cheek.

"I-I can't..," a single tear slid down my cheek. "I'm sorry."

"No," he growled. "You can't, please don't give up." The man's sweet voice pleaded.

"How?" I whispered.

Before I had a chance to realise what was happening, his lips crashed down on mine. "Find me..," as be breathed those words, the world around me grew dark.

"How?" I begged. I could barely see now. "How?" I yelled into the darkness.

"Find me...,"

"Lilly!" I jumped into a sitting position. "Lilly," my best-friend Suzy was shaking me by the shoulders. "Are you alright?" she dropped her arms once she noticed my attentiveness.

I shook my head. "Yeah," the sound of my voice was weak and she eyed me warily. "Just a dream," I muttered mostly to myself. "Sorry."

Suzy sighed and turned around. "It was just another dream." She called out.

Loud moans echoed through the room. "Once of these days Hathaway, I swear I'm gonna kill you myself." One of the girls muttered.

I mumbled another apology before lying back in my own bed. This was going to be a long night.
