Kasek: A little something that came to me after seeing Itachi's data in the third databook. I always knew he was a softy at heart.

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto.

Kisame growled as Itachi's eyes lit up at the sight in front of them. "Itachi... is it really necessary to stop at every sweets shop we come across?"

Itachi smiled playfully as he glanced at his partner. "You don't have to come in if you don't want to... more pocky for me."

Kisame sighed- he could never figure out what part of Itachi was a mass-murderer. The man was a vegetarian whose hobby was visiting different sweets shops around the world. "I'll be at the sushi place over there when you're done..."

Itachi's smile turned into a smirk. "Try the shark fillet, I hear it's delicious."

Kisame nearly gagged. Okay, that might've been the part that was a mass-murderer. "Ugh, just the thought of it make me sick... I can never tell when you're joking."

Itachi walked into the shop, where all present immediately turned their attention to him. After all, a man in a black-and-red cloak that went up past his mouth and a straw hat that covered everything but his eyes was completely out of place in a sweets shop. Itachi ignored them, and walked over to the wall of candies, taking a small bag from a dispenser. Let's see... I could go for one of those giant lollipops... and some taffy, too... He placed the giant swirl of candy into the bag, followed by several pieces of the chewy taffy. He looked around, and found what he was really here for- pocky. There was only one box left, too.

After he grabbed it, he brought his purchases to the counter, carefully emptying the bag's contents for the cashier to see. He gladly payed the price, and turned to leave, wishing the cashier a good day. However, just as he was about to leave, a woman and her young child came in. Itachi watched the dark-haired, dark-eyed boy wander down the wall examining each piece of candy intently, wonder in his smile. Itachi couldn't help but be reminded of a younger Sasuke.

The boy came to the end of the wall, and his smile turned into a frown. "Aww... they're all out of pocky... that's what I wanted the most, too..."

As the boy and his mother began looking at the other candy, Itachi took out his box of pocky and looked at it. He sighed, and walked back to the cashier.

Kisame frowned as he left the sushi shop. Bah, out of shrimp, huh? Let's see if they ever get my business again... He turned and saw Itachi waiting for him, leaning against the wall, his cloak unzipped a bit to allow him to lick his gigantic lollipop. "A lollipop? I thought for sure you'd go for the pocky first..."

Itachi smiled as he saw the boy from earlier walk by, happily munching a pocky stick. "I guess I... didn't want it as badly as I had thought..."
