Standing in front of the mirror, Casey analyzed herself. She pinched the skin under her arms, poked at imaginary wrinkles around her eyes and mouth, and raised her shirt up to examine her stomach.

"What are you doing?"

Casey turned her head to see Derek walk into her room. As he sat on her bed, he wore an amused expression.

"If you must know, I'm trying to figure out why this mystery guy has rated me a 6 ½."

Derek smirked. "Maybe because the guy has good taste."

Casey rolled her eyes. "I'm in no mood for your comments right now Derek." She walked over to the bed and sat down next to him. "I need your honest opinion. Seeing as you are king of the school, do I really deserve a 6 ½?"

Pushing himself off the bed, Derek stood and looked down at Casey. "I really don't think I need to give you my honest opinion." As he turned to walk off, Casey stood and grabbed his arm.

"And why is that? Because I can't handle it? Betty Butts got a better rating than me, and people intentionally stay away from her due to her body odor issues. So, I'm really confused by this rating. And I mean, Sam and Max dated me right? I would believe Sam is a better person and would date a girl for more than her body. But Max?"

Derek yanked his arm out of her grip. "Answer me this. Since when did you give a damn what others thought about you? I thought you were above that Case. So what if this guy rates Betty Butts higher than you. You don't even know who the guy is."

"That's why I need your opinion. Yours count!"

Derek rolled his eyes. "Since when? And I already told you, I don't think you need to hear my opinion." He knew the conversation wasn't over but tried to make his way to the door again.

"I don't care if it's a 0. Just tell me. I need to know where I stand at Thompson High."

As he reached the door, Derek turned around one last time. "Add a 1 before that 0 and you have my rating." As soon as the words escaped his lips, Derek had left her room.

As his comment registered in her mind, a small smile spread across Casey's face.

"10. Derek Venturi thinks I'm a 10."
