Sakura smiled at herself in the mirror, twirling around once, her delicate, pink curls and her dress whirling along with her.

Her mother shouted at her from downstairs just as the doorbell rang, "Sakura-chan! Your date is here! And may I mention, very, very good choice!"

Rolling her eyes and her mother's intentions, Sakura quickly applied the last of her makeup, grabbed her purse from her bed, and taking her time to walk downstairs, where she found her mother talking to her date.

"-her father died in a car accident when she was only 2 years old, that's why we moved here-"

"-and when my little Sakura-chan was four, she said, "I want to get married someday! To someone nice, handsome-"

Cutting her mother off, Sakura coughed. Hearing Sakura coughing, her date looked up quickly, signaling Sakura's mother to turn around and see what he was looking at.

Sakura walked down to her date as her mother inwardly squealed at her daughter's appearance, "Hello, Sasuke."

Sasuke took her hand, kissing it and presented a single rose to her while in the background, Sakura's mother found a camera and started taking pictures without their noticing.

Having the door opened for her, Sakura smiled as her mother yelled to her retreating back, "I HOPE TO SEE HIM VERY SOON!"

Sakura picked at her salad with her fork. Not exactly "lady-like" behavior, but at this point, she did not even notice or care.

Why? Because she was head-over-heels in love with Sasuke Uchiha: The way he talks, the way he looks, and even the way he acts.

He was the perfect man.

Walking Sakura up to her doorstep, Sasuke leaned in too place a kiss on her lips just as Sakura pulled back.

Sakura giggled, "Sorry Sasuke, I usually don't kiss on first dates."

Smirking, he leaned in to whisper in her ear, "Sorry Sakura, but playing by the rules too overrated."

She giggled again before Sasuke closed the gap between their mouths, put his hands on her tiny waist and she wrapped her slender arms around his neck.

Unaware to both of them, Sakura's mother had been recording them on her video camera, following them from the restaurant, to the park, then back to the house.

"Ooh! This will be great to show the girls at our next book club meeting!"
