I have no idea where I cam up with this. A verse just sneaked up on me, and it wouldn't stop
bugging me until it was a full-blown song. It's not really poetry, but there isn't a genre
for songs.

Shadows

When I first went into school
Everyone knew my name
They said, "You look just like your brother-"

They expected me to be just like you
They expected me to be great
I couldn't give them what they wanted
All I could give them was hate.

I'm always in your shadow

When I look into the mirror
I don't know who I see

Instead of seeing me.

They called me "Charlie's little brother"
They called me "younger sib of Bill"

They blink, and then say, "Who?"
