Boys!!!

"Boys!!!" Max grumbled, a sour look crossing her face, "Boys suck! They all do! I'm never gonna get married when I grow up! NEVER! I couldn't stand to live with a boy! They're so aggravating!!" she continued, causing a look of distress to plaster onto the dark haired, male bird boy. He sighed, worried that this description included him.

"Oh, sorry Fang, didn't notice you there." He nodded and said,

"'tis ok…." He paused, weighing his options of confrontation, "… But am I included?" she tilted her head to the side and knitted her eyebrows together, "Huh? Included in what?"

"Am I included in your description of boys? Do I suck to?" she looked startled,

"Wha- No, no, of course not! You're my best friend! Of course you don't suck." He looked pleased at that, and he verbally expressed that by grinning and saying, "Good."

The two mutant eleven year olds sat there in silence before an odd instance occurred, Fang for once was the one to break the silence, "Then you can marry me." Max looked shocked for a couple seconds before shrugging and saying, "Mmmk. Whatever."

Fang mischievously grinned and said, "Then maybe we should practice." Max arched her eye brows in surprise and confusion, "Hu-" but she was cut off by her best friend's lips gently pressing them to hers. He broke off after a second, looking wide eyed and surprised with himself. Max was still dazed in shock when he touched his fingers to his lips and blushed; before stumbling off. "Boys!" Max mumbled crossly, but despite that a smile crept across her face at the last minutes' events.
