A/N: Hi everyone

A/N: Hi everyone! I know I haven't written a new chapter in a few days, but I AM still writing that story. I'm just not liking the way the chapter is turning out. Got this idea from the somewhat emotional mood AnnaSophia Robb's new film: "Sleepwalking" put me in.

Leslie's Falling

You walk down the path to the creek, wondering where he is. He usually comes with you. You heard a car go down the Aarons' driveway this morning, maybe he went somewhere. But wouldn't he tell you?

As you see the stormy clouds above you, you remember yesterday. It rained as you were going home. He stopped walking; you turned to see what was wrong. He was still there, staring at you with an expression he gave Ms. Edmunds. You know what it means, but you're too embarrassed to admit it. You waved and he kept staring after you, and finally you just went on home.

Coward. You think. You're a coward, Leslie Burke.

You're at the rope. You get on the log and grab the stick to pull it in. You're anxious to get to the other side, to see Jess. You want to talk to him about yesterday, the day in the rain.

You're so anxious you forget to pull on the rope to check it. You jump on, forgetting Jess's words when you first found your enchanted kingdom.

"That's been there forever, I wouldn't trust it."

But you trust it. He may not, but you do. It's Terabithia, it wouldn't hurt you. You are Queen Leslie, nothing crushes you.

You decided to watch the clouds. You haven't done that since the day you found the rope. Leaning back, you look at the sky.

Your weight is too much. The branch groans and the rope snaps, sending you in a sumersault. You don't even realize what's happening until you see water, not sky. You scream, hoping Jess will hear you. Prince Terrian starts barking as you near the water. You see a rock coming out of the water and you start to cry. You're a smart girl, you know what's happening.

Maybelle's words echo in your mind.

"You've gotta believe in the Bible Leslie. Cause if you don't believe in the Bible…God will damn you to hell when you die."

"I don't want to go to Hell!" You scream and you turn your head longingly towards the bank on the other side of the creek, hoping and praying…

You start to cry harder. Jess isn't there, he can't save you. You're going to die.

Finally you hit the water, your forehead smacking the rock. You send out a silent plea before you slip into darkness.

You were right, Jess. I should've listened to you. We can't trust the rope.

And then you're gone.

A/N: Sad, huh?
