Sunday: Soup
"Hey, Itachi!" Sakura bounded in. "Why don't I cook dinner tonight? You know, seeing as I'm the newest member and all." Itachi nodded and took off the frilly pink "Kiss the chef" apron he was wearing (Tobi had thought it was cute and bought it for 11.99), and held it out to her. She took it from him, carefully folding it before setting it down on the table.
Itachi raised an eyebrow. "I thought you wanted to cook?"
"I am, but I need to get the ingredients first!" Itachi just shrugged and left.
Humming drifted from the kitchen along with a strong, mouth-watering aroma. The whole base was filled with the scent of dinner, and the only thing on the Akatsuki men's minds were, food.
"Here you are," Sakura scooped some of the golden-colored broth into the last of empty bowl at the table.
Everyone eyed her as she took a step back. She had already reprimanded Deidara and Hidan about table manners, and nobody wanted to fall prey to her deadly speeches about what was considered 'polite'.
"Well? What are you waiting for? Dig in!" She gestured to the steaming soup sitting in front of them. The occupants of the table did as told. Murmurs and slurps of approval drifted around the kitchen. "Is it good?"
"Yeah!" Kisame exclaimed, lifting another spoon-full of liquid up to his mouth. "What is it?"
Sakura beamed. "My specialty, Shark fin soup."
Kisame choked.
Okay, yeah, I know. The idea of Kisame eating shark something-or-other is really overdone, but I couldn't resist. I don't actually know what shark-fin soup looks like, though... If you didn't notice, IT'S THE LAST ONE! Yippee! That's pretty exciting. I actually finished something! In honor of this special occasion, I will dedicate the next oneshot I write to the first ten reviewers!
