Fuji sighed

Fuji sighed.

He couldn't sleep! He tried counting sheeps, meditating and holding his breath until he would faint… He just could not lose consciousness!

Above all the sheets were itchy, the couch was hard, the cushion smelled and the pyjama he lent was elefhant sized.

Too say it short; Fuji was uncomfortable… and pissed!

He supposed it was his own doing. He pressed Tezuka to let him sleep over when his parents were out and this is how he was repaid. Tezuka told him with the normal stoic stare that the spare futon was sent to the dry cleaner cause his nephew peed on it – now the stare was accompanied by a tiny embarrassed blush – and dumped him in the living room with a blancket.

Another heavy sigh found his way out of Fuji's mouth. The whole point of sleeping over when Tezuka's parents were gone was to have some alone time with the stoic tennis captain. Instead of that he was now trying to find the sleep supplying Sandman – who appeared to have forgotten all about him – in vain.

Stupid Sandman!

Stupid Tezuka!

The soft tapping of footsteps roused him from his mental maiming of both of the aformentioned persons.

A regal face came in sight. 'Fuji? Are you still awake?' The soft careful voice it was said in made all the negative feelings disappear in a now raging heartbeat.

'Yes… I can't sleep in unfamiliar territoty.'

Fuji could just feel the rising eyebrow of his captain. 'What are you talking about? You slept more than once here.'

'But that was in your room. I know your room! We almost never spend time downstaires… And that's your fault. You always keep me locked in your room.' The tone became teasing.

Tezuka kept his stoic mask firmly in place and his mouth shut though the blush could not be kept down. He thanked the heavens mentally for the darkness.

Fuji felt a slight disappointment when all he got was a stony silence though he already figured Tezuka would keep quiet. 'If you came to check upon me don't bother; I will fall asleep eventually.' The genius turned around, his back facing Tezuka, and pulled the blanket to his chin. 'Goodnight Captain.' The dismissal rang heavily in his ears.

For a minute it was quiet and then he heard movement. The blancket was tugged from him in one yank and he was shoved to the back of the couch. Fuji couldn't stop the yelp from escaping. He spun around to see what Tezuka was doing and found himself looking in two amber eyes.

Tezuka said nothing, just pulled him close and wrapped his arms around the startled tensai. He bend over and pressed his lips to Fuji's forehead.

'Tezuka…?'

'Is this familiar enough for you Syuusuke?'

Fuji's eyes widened for a second before they slit back closed. His lips turned in a genuine smile, conveying his happiness and contentment of Tezuka's actions.

'Thanks you… Mitsu…'

They both slept within seconds, dreaming of eachother.
