Falling Slowly

Notes: The Mung Daal/Panini pairing has always struck me as a cute one, filled with fluff. I do like Chowder/Panini, but I wanted to try my hand at something else. Inspired by "Falling Slowly" by The Frames from the movie Once.

"Mr. Mung Daal, how do you… show love?"
His name caught his attention at first hand, but the question caused his ears to perk up and for his body to turn. Even though the hour was late, the bunny's eyes were wide open with curiosity.
"Well, um…" the great chef slowly walked over from the counter and look into the girl's eyes. It was rare that Panini came over as a guest, so he thought it would be best to give her his full attention. "I show love by… displays of affection and giving them attention." His mind pictured a dish that took time to create and serve.
On the other side, the other's mind was flashing happy images: Hugging, holding hands, kissing, and—
Panini grabbed onto Mung's soft, wrinkled hands. With a smile, she began swaying back and forth. "You mean like dancing?"
At first, the chef felt slightly confused. After awhile, her rhythm got to his body, and he starting slowly dancing with her. The two flowed in harmony.
As time passed, Panini's eyes began to coat with sand. Letting out a yawn, Mung smiled, patting her softly on the head. She let go of his hands while being told she could sleep in Chowder's room for the night.
As she retreated up the stairs, the pink bunny turned around, smiling at her blue dancer.
"I wish Chowder would show me love, too, Mr. Mung Daal."
