Mew: I was inspired by a drawing of Malik hugging (heh, glomping) Marik to write this. You know, the best art is the kind that truly inspires you. -grins- Anyway, just a fluffy little oneshot for all of you bronzeshipping fans out there. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: Mew Draiku owns NOTHING of Yu-Gi-Oh!

Glomp!

The first thought that went through Marik's mind was, "What the fuck??" Who in hell's name would be hugging him?? He was the hated, sociopathic version of some hormonal teen, whom he could care less about, so naturally everyone despised him.

Marik was still shocked enough not to notice the Millennium Rod go flying out of his hands. Strong arms were wrapped around his neck and shoulders, holding him from behind. It wasn't the most pleasant feeling, but then again, he didn't necessarily hate it. The warmth of another human being touching his body was a strange sensation, one he wasn't used to.

Finally, after stumbling forward a bit, he retained his posture and the attacker slid off of him. He flicked around, his cape billowing a little, but wrinkled from the hug. Marik raised a single, slender eyebrow when he discovered that his "other side" was the person who'd hugged him.

"…What the hell was that?" he demanded, glaring slightly. The teen just smiled, chuckling to himself a little.

"I just wanted to say thanks," he replied with a grin. Marik blinked, shocked yet again, and stared at him.

"What?" he said. "I've taken over your body—you're nothing but a spirit now. You have no control over your own limbs, and for all you know, you'll never have control again! I could even kill you right now by killing myself! You should be fearful of me! Why in god's name are you thanking me?" Malik just kept on smiling.

"Truthfully?" he said. "This is the first time, since father carved the ancient texts into my back, that I've felt truly free. I can't feel the scars. That's why I'm thanking you." Marik blinked again, still slightly confused. He frowned a bit when he felt a prickling sensation at his back, suddenly understanding what Malik meant.

"I see," he said, wincing a bit. Malik gently hugged him, from the front this time.

"Thank you," he whispered, pressing his forehead to Marik's chest. He let go and floated off somewhere on his own. Marik gazed after him, trying his hardest not to smile. His lips betrayed him, and curled up a bit. Maybe he did have some care for the teen after all.
