At the Pool

Luffy stared at the plain blue water. "Uhh...Usopp?" He turned his head to the long-nosed man. "Are you sure this is safe?" He was wearing shorts, blue water wings with fish on them and a gray floatie around his waist with the words 'set sail' on one side, and the front was a duck head. His shorts were because he had no bathing suit because... he couldn't swim!

"Don't worry, Luffy. This new pill of mine is going to work. And if it doesn't, I'll just jump in and bring you back up to the surface! You've got nothing to worry about!"

Luffy trusted Usopp, but he was still a little nervous to jump in. For ten years he has been a complete anchor underwater. He had a chance the first seven years of his life, but after that it was hopeless. Usopp has invented this pill that took away his devil fruit powers so that he can swim for up to 24 hours. They knew he couldn't stretch anymore because Usopp yanked his arm earlier. Nothing.

"Luffy, what're you waiting for, jump!"

"Usopp... what if this took away my rubber powers forever, and that I still couldn't swim?"

Usopp laughed. "Impossible! Do you realize how many geniuses may have wanted to do that?"

"But Usopp," Luffy exclaimed. "Youre an even bigger genius!" Usopp couldn't help but smile, even though he tried not to.

"USOPP!!" Luffy whined. Usopp walked up to his captain hastily and pushed him as hard as he could. He barely budged. "NO! I'M NOT GOING IN!!"

Usopp turned his head to the door and screamed. "AHH!! MONSTER!! THOSE ARE THE BIGGEST TENTACLES I'VE EVER SEEN!!" Luffy turned his head left and right rapidly, with stars sparkling in his eyes. "WHERE?! WHERE?!" Usopp took the chance, kicked him in the back of the knee, pulled off his floatie and water wings and pushed him in the water. "MADE YA LOOK!!" Luffy fell in, bubbles coming up to the surface. 7 and a half seconds later, he came up, treading water.

"OI! WHAT WAS THAT FOR, USOPPU?!" He was a little annoyed.

Usopp fell on his knees, leaning on his hands towards Luffy. He had tears of joy in his eyes. "Luffy! Do you realize what you're doing?"

He blinked. "Yelling at you?" Then he just looked around, seeing himself in the middle of the swimming pool, floating. "AHH!! I'M GONNA DROWN!!" He freaked out, but stopped after a second or two. "Hey...HEY! USOPP!! LOOK! LOOK! I'M SWIMMING!! HAHA! I'M SWIMMING!!" He looked down, dove into the water, then came up with something shiny in his hand. "AND I FOUND A 10 BELI COIN HERE!!" Usopp couldn't believe the sight, and was crying now. "I...I'm so happy...my invention was a success..." He wiped up his tears. Usopp stood up then took off his shirt and shoes, then undoing his overall straps. He ran onto the diving board and ran straight off of it. "LOOK OUT BELOW!!"

SPLASH!!

Chopper ran in. "LUFFY!! ARE YOU REALLY SWIMMING?!" Luffy was laughing. "YEP!!" Usopp swam to the surface of the pool and crawled out, walking to a chair with a jar full of pills. He handed one pill to Chopper. He didn't bother to take water, so he gulped it quickly, and his face scrunched up. "Yuck..." Usopp shoved his hands in his beige bag. "I made you something." He took out four navy blue flippers, the size of Choppers feet. He too one of his arms and slipped a flipper on his hooves. Usopp did the same for his other arm and legs.

Chopper quickly hugged Usopp. Chopper couldn't talk because his devil fruit power was taken away. He jumped in as quickly as he could, swimming like one of Santa's reindeer in the sky on a Christmas eve. "HEY USOPP! I FOUND RUDOLPH!!"

All 3 boys...er...2 boys and reindeer boy...started laughing.
