Disclaimer: I do not own Bleach or anything else that anybody in the known universe could sue me for. I own nothing.
AN: No, I don't hate the character in question. Just something that came to me while having computer trouble. Also, sorry about the underlining, for some reason doesn't like stanzas. Each stanza is supposed to end at the underlined line. If it's too distracting and you think it would be better to leave it as one whole thing let me know.
The Road To Hell
He always had the best of intentions.
'The road to Hell...' and such.
Now, he is a destroyer of worlds, of nations.
It was all paved with his good intentions.
And yet he remains
In this world he destroyed.
He clings to a final hope, now faint
That all he's lost will be regained.
Midst the rubble of his life aflame
He licks his wounds with sake and salt.
He might have chosen someone else to blame
If he didn't know it was his own damn fault.
Asking for forgiveness, once a possibility
Is now an improbability.
As there are few left alive to question
And none among them would absolve his good intentions.
He sits alone in shame
Now he'll pay for all his games.
Going down with the ship he sank
As it goes up in flames.
With any sort of luck
He'll drown in sake before the fire comes
And have the time to light his pipe
With his hat before it burns away.
