The Joker sat relaxed on a roof top in a lawn chair holding a newspaper (with his face pasted onto the cover) waiting for his prey to come. Suddenly, someone was standing in front of him, but he knew from the stature of the person it wasn't any of the three he had been waiting for. The person stepped closer to him. "Who the hell are you? I don't have time for any wannabes, nor do I have any pacifiers for babies. Mmm, exploding pacifiers--now there's an idea I like."

"Stop your mindless babble. I am Batman's son, and-" Damian was cut off by Joker's maniacal laughter.

"Batman has a son? Worse yet…you?" Joker continued to laugh as he gestured toward Damian. "What do you know? Old Bats does make mistakes! Sorry, Kiddo, but when I came out tonight, I distinctly remember reserving time for your dear old daddy Bat, and your older Bat siblings. I don't want to waste my time with you, short fry. So, skedaddle…you little punk, before I actually get bored enough to make good on my exploding pacifier idea. Man, just sit you there, all dressed up like a widdle toddler, and then BAM! Ah, that would be fun." If the Joker had not been sitting in the lawn chair he would have been rolling on the ground from his laughter.

Damian stood in a fighting stance. "My older Bat siblings? Don't tell me you think Nightwing and Robin are more worthy of your time than I am. I am Batman's son. His one true heir, his…" Again Joker interrupted him.

The Joker stood to his full height, and slowly moved toward Damian. "Well of course I do...you silly little boy. Sure Nightwing talks too much, and has a major problem with just dying like a good little bird-bat half breed thing, but the little bird, Robin, is just fun to play with. You, on the other hand, are wasting my time, and you aren't even giving me anything to laugh about. Now that is pathetic, I guess you beat your predecessors on one thing--being more annoying, more pathetic, and more whiny. You sure you're the Bat's kid? I would think he would glare that right out of you by the time you could walk. Well, if this is all I'm going to get tonight, I have no reason to stay." One large cloud of purple smoke later, and The Joker was gone.

The End
