So this took forever for me to finally post. I had it done for some time now, but the ending never sat well with me. I think I cleaned it up a bit for my intentions, but I'm not sure it's still what I really want. Either way I generally like this chapter.
Honestly, I'm not totally sure where this chapter came from. I had a whole different idea in place, but it started sounding a little off to me. I honestly think Kevin would have some serious things to get over before being able to fully get into a deep relationship with Edd. Also, the idea of Jimmy just kinda jumped out at me. Forgive me if anyone happens to find his character not to their liking, but it just kinda stuck in my head how he was gonna be.
Anywho, this chapter definitely marks where things are going to get a little more adult. This chapter really only contains some mature language on mature subject matter, but please, if this offends you, don't yell at me or something, I warned you. Last note, this chapter may be a little low on that actual 'action' side, but I believe it was another one of those chapters you can't just glaze over for the sake of getting to the good part. I actually had quite a bit of fun writing Jimmy.
Enough of me talking, please enjoy! Thank you so much to those who leave comments, it always makes my day!
A Decisive Ed
Kevin sighed to himself a bit, wiping a bit of sweat from his face. It was a few days after Christmas and New Year's Eve was quickly approaching. The gym in town would probably be packed with people gearing up for new year resolutions or attempting to work off the small feasts they gorged themselves on during the holidays. He silently thanked his parents and himself to having the foresight to put some good money towards equipment for him. A few years ago, they doubled their garage; half of it for a car and the other for the small home gym.
His green eyes looked around the small sets of heavy weights, most far too heavy for his normal workout partner who was absent from today's routine. He was going to have to buy a few more sets of heavier dumbbells soon for himself... Where the heck was Double Dee? While he may have hated working out, the little guy wasn't one to wuss out... After a bit of coaxing that is. He had missed several days in a row actually, and it was really getting to Kevin. He was trying not to think about it, or the lack of time he seemed to have to spare. It seemed like he was never home, but when he was around, the girly young man was more than happy to see him. Nothing really seemed to point towards him being avoided, but the redhead still found himself worrying over it anyway. It really bugged him.
C'mon Kev... Calm down. You never worried so much over the girls you dated before, Double Dork is just... Busy or somethin'... He told himself, bobbing his head absently with the music blaring over the speakers bolted into the walls around him.
Growling, the football player stood up and turned to the bar racked on the bench, three forty-five pounders on each side. Determined and a bit annoyed, he added another to each end. Frustration helped him lift heavier, and as he lifted heavier, he relaxed... and he needed to relax. Lying back down, he easily hefted up the weight, beginning a new set of reps with a fierce new resolution to de-stress.
Each grunt of exertion echoed in the bare walls around him and out the open garage door towards the center of the cul-de-sac. In the position he was, he failed to notice another person entering the garage.
"Kevin?" Came the familiar, though unexpected voice.
Setting the weight down with a heavy clack of steel on steel, the large young man sat up and looked to the source of the voice. "Oh, hey Fluffy." He gave a small nod to Jimmy, who some time ago he started calling 'Fluffy' to his infamous little poofy hairdo. The aggrivatingly effeminate boy had abandoned that hairstyle some time ago for a strange, near genderless style. The back and sides were both just long enough into a short little bob of a ponytail in the center of the back of his head. At the top of his head, the hair was long and blended with the bangs, hanging close or directly in front of one of his eyes at all times. Kevin never understood it, but at the same time, he never understood the world of 'high fashion' anyways. Ever since Edd's change in appearance, Jimmy seemed to follow suit, though not to the same degree really. While Edd stuck with girls clothes that were cute, the flamboyant young man decided to stick with a little bit more normal clothes with a feminine twist, often choosing things that looked more suitable for clubs and stuff. Strangely though, with all the fishnet, belly-shirts, and tight jeans, Jimmy somehow kept an innocent look around him with all the white and pale colors.
The silence that suddenly dropped between the two of them made the unannounced guest a little nervous. A hard, green gaze was set upon him, almost as if it was inspecting him. Jimmy gulped a little and smiled. It was one of his favorite activities, smiling. Ever since he had gotten rid of his braces, he had brilliant teeth and a charming smile to match. "I was walking by when I happened to hear you." He began, placing his hands behind his back as he stepped in a little. "I just wanted to make sure everything was okay, you sounded a little strained."
Standing, now towering over the little wisp of a boy, Kevin stretched a bit. "Just workin' out some stress Fluffy, thanks though." Figuring that was that, the quarterback turned and walked over to the stereo system near the door into his house. He sighed and pulled off the sleeveless shirt he was wearing, letting it drop into a small clothes basket nearby.
"Stress?" Asked Jimmy as he watched curiously. Bright, light-blue eyes watched the muscled back with interest, Kevin unaware. "What are you so stressed about that you need to hurt yourself in here, silly?" He asked with a small giggle. It was weird to note, but Kevin decided he much preferred the softer, warmer giggle of his boyfriend.
He turned and looked to Jimmy with a cool gaze. "Just some stuff with... someone." Large shoulders shrugged a bit. Walking back over, he took a seat on the bench, once more.
"Oh, relationship stuff? Maybe I can help?" He grinned widely and nearly sauntered over to a nearby chair, pulling it back to Kevin. The jock had heard tons of rumors about this little guy from all over. Many of them were simply statements of his sexuality, which you had to be blind and deaf to miss really. Others though, were a little more worrying to his friends. Sneaking off to bathrooms for hook-ups with guys during school, a few 'favors' for money here and there. How many of them were true, Kevin didn't want to know, but he did worry for little Fluffy, he'd known him for a long time. Kevin wouldn't deny at all that this kid was a total flirt towards guys. Most people who had known him for a time took it jokingly and defended him otherwise when people were offended. The redhead had heard about the time Eddy tried to teach him how to be a scam artist. Apparently he took to that like a fish to water, so who knew what he was capable of deep down. Either way he seemed like he was happy enough.
"Eh, I dunno." Shrugged the muscled teen, wiping his face again. "It's complicated... And not really something to go talking about to everyone..."
Crossing one denim-covered leg over the other while learning forward, an evil, conniving look passed the cute face for the briefest of moments. "It's about Double Dee, isn't it?" That was not what Kevin was expecting. Apparently the look on his face said that too. "Come now Kevin, you really think I wouldn't hear about that?" Of course, the center of the rumor mill. How could he forget?
"Look, Fluffy..." Kevin began, holding up a hand.
"It so delicious! He nearly cheered, slipping closer to Kevin, his small, soft hands resting on his shorts-covered thighs. "Captain of the football team and a cute little cross-dressing nerd secretly in a gay relationship!" Jimmy looked ready to practically burst. "You only hear about this in books and movies!"
"Not so loud Fluffy!" Warned the jock in a growl, slapping a hand over the pale lips.
Offering the redhead a look that spoke something along the lines of 'are you serious?', Jimmy leaned back once more. "Surely you don't think rumors of you two haven't been going around since the beginning of Double Dee's change, do you?"
"I..." Kevin was stumped. "Maybe..."
"So cute..." Purred the boy while playing with the overly long white and pink striped scarf around his neck.
"Whatever, I don't care. It's not the problem." Kevin sighed standing up. "So... Double Dee and I officially started going out, right?"
"Uh huh," Nodded the chic teen leaning, listening to every word carefully.
"It really only started a little before the Christmas party... A few days, right?" Another nod, but Kevin wasn't looking. "Is it like... too possessive of me to be angry that he seems to have been kinda missing from time to time in the past few days? I don't even know why he suddenly started to."
Tapping his chin, Jimmy considered the question. "Well... Did you upset him? That would be the simplest answer."
Kevin's mind flashed back to the day after the Christmas party. The accidental flashing of himself to the guy. Did that actually get to him and he hid it? What would that mean then? Should he be even more angry for his boyfriend trying to wave it off when it did upset him? Geeze! This crap was such a pain in the ass! "Uh... I don't think so?"
"If it was something enough to drive him away, you'd probably remember." Concluded the small teen. "Did you ask him yet?"
"Not really..." Sighed the redhead. Jimmy gave him another look, making the older teen frown. "Look, this is all new to me. I don't know how different it is... b-between guys and stuff..."
Sighing, Jimmy walked over and patted his arm a bit. "Poor guy... You haven't ever really been exposed to gay relationships have you?"
"I'm not gay, so it makes sense." Kevin shrugged nonchalantly.
"... Excuse me?" Snickered the fashionista. "Not gay? And who is the one worrying over his boyfriend for potentially nothing?"
"Yeah, well..." Kevin began, ready for an argument, but stopped short. That was a really dumb thing to say, wasn't it? "Look... I..." He raised his hands up as he shrugged. "I'm not like... It's just Double Dee that I like, okay?"
"Are you sure?" Questioned the small boy, bending over a bit and looking up at him impishly. "Just 'cause you're gay doesn't mean you have to like big strong muscle men like yourself." The dynamic blue eyes narrowed as he grinned and ran an eye over Kevin's exposed upper-half. "What about me?"
Raising an eyebrow, Kevin looked down to Jimmy. "What about you, Fluffy?"
"Would you fuck me?" His carefully trimmed eyebrows wagged a bit as he grinned.
Momentarily, Kevin's mouth dropped open. Sweet, innocent little Jimmy – Fluffy – just sounded like a porn star. He gulped heavily as the slim body next to him struck a bit of a pose for him, hands running over the slim coat, exposing a flat belly for a moment before reaching the zipper of his thin jacket. "I..." Stuttered the large teen.
"Subjectively..." Jimmy giggled, tugging down the zipper to the warm garment. A t-shirt, stopping just a little below his chest was exposed. Long sleeves came off it, covering his thin arms under the sleeves of the jacket. Kevin had to admit, i-it... he wasn't... really h-he didn't... look to bad. "If it was just you and me..." He purred with a wink.
Turning away, the jock shook his head. "I dunno Fluffy," He sighed, running a hand through his damp hair.
"It's a simple yes or no." Huffed the small boy, stepping around Kevin quickly, crossing his arms over his chest. "Look, I've had lots of 'straight' guys say yes." He smirked, using his fingers to make the quotation marks.
"... Lots, huh?" Chuckled the teen. "Be careful, Fluffy."
Waving off the words, Jimmy looked sternly at Kevin. "Look, you have to come to some sort of decision and not be all wishy washy." Poking the muscled chest, he narrowed his eyes. "When you and Double Dee get ready to do it, you can't have some kind of internal crisis. You need to be sure it's what you want. You could really mess him up."
"What do you mean?" Now curious, the redhead lightly swatted the hand away.
"Think about it silly. Double Dee is about as shy as it gets-"
"Not all the ti-"
"Kevin, listen!" Jimmy huffed. "He's not the most confident guy, right? You stop in the middle of something like getting ready to rail him out and he might think something's wrong with him!"
The crude phrase made Kevin raise an eyebrow. It was weird hearing something like that out of someone he'd known for so long and assumed to be such an innocent... for the most part. "Alright... I get that." He conceded with a nod. "I mean... I really kinda want to already... But I'm still..." He sighed. Man, he sounded like such a wuss.
"No, no 'kinda'!" Poked in the chest again. Jimmy needed to cut that out. "You need to be one-hundred percent before you even bring it up! Geeze! What's with you?!"
Sighing heavily, Kevin picked up a dumbbell, curling it towards his chest if just for something to focus on. "I dunno! I just... Well, I just don't want to disappoint him." He mumbled. "I only really started to hang with him and stuff when he started dressing like a girl... I don't want to keep thinking of him like one when I see him. I don't think it's fair to him for me to think he's something he's not."
Silence passed between them for a few moments, Jimmy's eyebrow raised. "That's actually pretty smart of you..."
"Thanks..." Kevin glanced over, switching arms with the dumbbell.
More time passed in silence... Kevin focused on the ache beginning in his biceps as he went through a few sets, the pale boy next to him simply watching. Jimmy tapped his chin a moment before speaking up again. "Have you seen his dick yet?"
Kevin nearly dropped the weight. "Uh... w-what?"
"Maybe you just need to get a good, long look at him naked. Establish that he has a dick. It's not like it's a secret between you two, right? Just try it." Seeing the incredulous look on the jock's face, Jimmy sighed. "I'm not asking you to go down on him! Just look at it!"
...Alright... Maybe Fluffy was onto something... Maybe it could help. "... Fine... That doesn't sound like a bad idea..."
Smirking, Jimmy nodded and began to make his way towards the exit. "Trust me, it'll work out fine." He assured, waving a hand. Before he left, he spun around and grinned. "So, would you fuck me?" He asked again, the question far to cheerful to be normal.
"Hell no, you're too annoying." Grunted the tall teen.
"You're such a liar." Sing-songed the small boy before walking away, laughing.
"What a weirdo..." Sighed the shirtless teen. Walking to the garage door, he raised an arm up, preparing to close it. As he did, he spotted the boy that had been the subject of his conversation speaking to Jimmy on the sidewalk in front of the redhead's house. From their body language, they appeared to be talking about each other's choice of clothing for the day. Kevin watched, grinning to himself as he watched Edd. He looked freshly showered. Once again he was wearing those soft-looking Alpaca stockings. He secretly loved the way they made his boyfriend's thighs stand out. Those runs had really been doing his body some good, aside from the health benefits.
Once they were done talking, Edd turned and smiled, quickly making his way up to Kevin. "What in heaven's name are you doing standing around shirtless in the cold?" Asked the slim teen in a disbelieving tone. With a light push, he moved Kevin back into the garage and closed the door behind them. "Actually... What are you doing shirtless?" Edd remembered to ask as he stood with his palms pressed into the solid pectoral muscles.
"Was workin' out." The jock simply stated. "Want a sweaty hug?" He grinned widely as he stretched out his arms, preparing to pounce on his boyfriend.
"No no! You are gross!" Squealed the boy quickly stepping away, holding out his hands.
"Gross? I think I take offense to that." Kevin chuckled. "Whatever though, I'll heal. C'mon inside. The folks are out right now." He explained offhandedly.
Giggling, Edd patted the slightly sweaty back as they walked through the house. "Very well, I'll keep you company, Kevin."
"Right..." He nodded, heading up the stairs. "Speakin' of which..." At the top of the stairs, he stopped, looking to Double Dee as he stopped beside him. "Mind if I ask where you've been the past few mornings?" He winced internally, he sounded a little accusing.
"Where have I...?" Mumbled Edd, tilting his head a little, looking a little confused. "Oh!" He giggled softly and waved a hand. "It's nothing too much. Go get yourself cleaned up then I'll tell you all about it."
Relief washed through the broad teen before he let out a calming sigh. Nothing big? He could deal with that. When they reached the top, he turned and placed a small kiss on lightly glossed lips. "Go chill and I'll be right out."
"Of course Kevin, don't keep me waiting." Double Dee winked and made his way back down the stairs easily.
...
He wasn't being avoided... Awesome. Kevin chuckled and shook his head at his own apparently baseless worries before letting a small fist pump escape his calm façade.
Again fair readers, sorry that took so long, thankfully it hasn't been quite a year yet. Hope you liked it, tell me what you thought about it!
