Reading the Twilight series I always found Jasper to be very two dimensional, even after reading Eclipse. I wanted to try giving him feelings of some sort. Takes place when Bella and Alice go to Italy in New Moon.

It was all about staying impassive, about sitting through each second, minute, hour with a look with a look of utter calm (because he had to stay calm). And, don't stare at the phone, 'cause it's most definitely not going to ring. Not the door either- she won't be coming any time soon (she's all the way in Italy, you know that).

He knows she's alright- she promised she would be all right. And, even if she wasn't it was all for the best. She had to save Edward; she had to get Bella to Italy. But, dammit why did it have to be-

No. No. Don't lose your temper.

Take a deep breath and count to ten. It's possible that it's all going to be over soon.

(1…2…3…4…)

Don't stare at the phone. Don't look at the door.

(5…6…7…8…)

She'll be all right. Dammit, she's gotta be all right!

(9…10…)

Turn around and look impassive and maybe nobody will notice how bad your hands are shaking.
