Title: I've Found You

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter of any of its characters.

Summary: "When Harry was nine, he set on a quest to find his parents..."

When Harry was four, he asked his Uncle Vernon where his mommy and daddy were.

He got a week in the cupboard, and learned to never ask his uncle again.

When Harry was six, he learned that if you got really lost, all you had to do was find a policeman. So he went and asked a nice policeman where his parents were. Maybe they were lost and couldn't find the way back to him.

The nice policeman took him back to his Aunt and Uncle's house, and he got another week in the cupboard. Maybe that policeman wasn't so nice after all.

When Harry was seven, he asked his homeroom teacher if he did something wrong and if maybe that was why his parents didn't come back for him. Mrs. Thomas had smiled sadly at him and told him that no, he didn't do anything wrong, and that his parents are somewhere far away, and that it's very difficult to get back to him. Harry asked how far away, maybe he could go find them instead. Mrs. Thomas simply patted his head and left it at that.

When Harry was nine, he set on a quest to find his parents. He had packed all his clothes, stole a bottle of water and some chips from the kitchen, and brought Dudley's broken compass. It wasn't long before he was brought home by a policeman (Harry really didn't like them now). Uncle Vernon didn't listen as Harry tried to explain that if he found his parents then the Dursleys won't have to take care of him anymore and promptly locked him in his cupboard for the week.

When Harry was eleven, he finally met them. The young boy gently touched the surface of the mirror and allowed a smile to grace his face as his mother waved at him.

"I've found you…"

THE END

A/N: I know that Harry was told of his parent's death and such, but think of Harry's search as being more metaphorical than literal.
