We tried so hard to survive
but I knew it couldn't last.
Everything was deteriorating
far to fast.

You fell asleep
and never woke up,
but my horror comes form knowing
there was nothing I could do
to save you.

But as your body becomes limp,
your spirit becomes free.
So stay by the fireflies
and please wait for me.
