A/N: Sorry if it's kinda sappy, but it sat in my head and wouldn't go away. Don't read if you don't like fluff. You have been warned.

Oh, and I don't own Elphie or Glinda. I'm just using them for my personal amusement.

"Elphie? Exactly how much longer are you planning on spending in that bathroom?"

Glinda paced up and down their dorm room. She'd never known Elphaba to take this long in the bathroom – in fact, her green roommate was usually dressed and sitting on her bed reading by the time Glinda even woke up.

The knob of the bathroom door moved, then stopped.

"Glinda?"

"Yes?"

"Close your eyes."

"Why?"

Elphaba didn't answer, and slightly bemused, Glinda obeyed. She heard the door open and close, and Elphaba's footsteps moving towards her.

"You can open your eyes now."

"Sweet Oz, Elphaba! You…"

"I look ridiculous, don't I."

Elphaba had raided Glinda's wardrobe, and was wearing a frilly pink and white ballgown and high-heeled shoes. She'd even attempted to curl her hair, which had stubbornly resisted and lay over her shoulders with only the slightest wave.

"Elphie… what brought this on?"

"I just wanted to see… if I could be pretty. Like you."

The last two words were almost a whisper. Elphaba lowered her head, refusing to meet Glinda's gaze. Before Glinda could respond, her roommate had locked herself back in the bathroom, and she could hear Elphaba almost frantically taking the dress off.

The bathroom doorknob turned again, but before Elphaba could emerge, Glinda caught the door.

"Don't come out until I tell you," she said firmly.

"Okay…"

Glinda rummaged through their shared closet until she found one of Elphaba's plain black frocks. She pulled it on, pulled her hair back from her face, and scrutinised herself in the mirror.

"Hmph. Okay Elphie, you can come out now. But only if you close your eyes."

"Why?"

Glinda didn't answer, and Elphaba sighed.

"Fine."

Glinda fought back a giggle as Elphaba felt her way into the main part of the dorm room.

"Open your eyes."

"Glinda! What are you - "

Glinda smiled.

"Now who looks ridiculous?"

Elphaba smiled back, then moved towards Glinda, reaching out to pull the other girl's hair free from its hair tie.

"You look better with your hair out," she said, and Glinda mirrored her gesture.

"So do you," she said firmly when Elphaba pulled away, making the green girl blush.

"Elphie? Do you really think I'm pretty?"

Elphaba stammered out something, too quiet for Glinda to hear. Well, Glinda thought. I know one way to find out.

"Close your eyes."

"Why?"

"Just do it."

Elphaba did as she was told, and Glinda moved just a little closer to the green girl and softly, gently, sweetly kissed her.

"Oh," Elphaba whispered. "Okay."
