Humanitas

It doesn't take a lot for Hidan to choose giving to Kakuzu. It is not the hope that his generosity will inspire some in the other man; it is only the fact that giving freely of his own to his partner brings him a secret joy that he really can't explain.

Liberalitas

On the rare occasion that Kakuzu gives something away without charge, it is done so easily that he almost doesn't realize he's done anything out of the ordinary. It's only Hidan's gleeful cheering that lets him know anything is different.

Industria

When Hidan sees Kakuzu fighting, he finds himself captured by the need to be busy himself; to help his partner. For at least these few moments, he is so careful and persistent to stay in motion, working at Kakuzu's side not only for the sake of the man or his own health, but for the sake of the work itself.

Patientia

No one would ever think of Kakuzu as a patient man, and so few notice the extremity of his restraint toward his wayward partner. Because, though Hidan does annoy him to no end, Kakuzu so very rarely resorts violence. This is not because he knows that Hidan enjoys pain, but because some small part of him doesn't want to hurt the smaller man out of wrath.

Frenum

Though the taking of human life is both easy and enjoyable for Hidan; perhaps even required of him in this religion; he often actually goes out of his way to avoid deadly confrontations. Too much of a good thing gets old quick, and for a man who will never die, he'll get his fill of death sooner than he should like anyway.

Humilitas

There are few people capable of capturing Kakuzu's respect- as old as he is, one would have to be quite impressive to earn it. But he finds himself often including the minor contributions Hidan dedicates to their work in his reports, letting Pein know that the other man was not nearly the hassle he sometimes appears.

Castitas

Regardless of how they bicker, it is undeniable that they are bound together. There is a deep resentment from both of them, but deeper still is the love and caring. Together they move through the world, and in the end, both know they are better for it. On their own, their lives were empty; together they find a hidden courage.
