Author's Notes: Yes, I'm quite aware that this is dang short.....but, oh well, you'll get over it.
Dot Warner stood, watching her brothers, Yakko and Wakko Warner, stare at Hello Nurse.
She sighed, and sat down. Finally, after about 10 minutes, the Nurse left. "I'm gonna marry that girl
someday..." Yakko and Wakko both said in unison. Dot gasped at this, but then brushed it off,
thinking it was just a little fib.
Later on that day, though, Dot couldn't help but think about what her brothers had said
earlier. " I'm gonna marry that girl some day..." Kept echoing through her mind, so much that
it was giving her a headache. "Hey, Dot, what's wrong?" Yakko asked her at the dinner table.
"Huh? What? Nothing! Nothing's wrong! Heh, what makes you think something's wrong?" She replied frantically.
Wakko spoke up. "Well, your not eating..."
"I'm just not hungry. Can I be excused?"
"Can I have it!?"
Dot sighed, "Sure Wakko, help yourself...as usual.." "Hooray! Thanks!" Wakko said,
and grabbed Dot's plate, pulling it over next to his own. "Mmmmm..." He mumbled, as he chewed on
her chicken wing. "Yakko, can I be excused?" "Um..sure, Dot, I guess..." He said, uneasily.
"Thanks." Was all she said as she hopped out of her chair, and went into her room.
When Yakko heard Dot's door close, he spoke up. "Wakko, there's something wrong with Dot.
I know it. Even though she's denying it, there's something up..." "Uh-huh." Wakko said, not looking up from
his plates. *He was hardly listening to me* "Okay, well, I'm gonna go and talk to her."
"Wait for me, I'm almost done."
"Hurry up then."
Wakko picked up his plate, and licked the rest of the food off, wiped his mouth,
then jumped down behind Yakko.
Dot was sobbing quietly into her pillow, when she heard a gentle knocking at her door.
She didn't reply, and heard the door open slowly. Yakko and Wakko made their way into the room. "Dottie..."
Wakko whispered to his younger sibling. Yakko walked around her bed, and sat down on it next to her.
Wakko followed right behind him. Dot felt Yakko sit, and immediately flung herself into his arms,
crying and sniffling into his shoulder. Yakko wrapped his arms around her, making quiet 'shh'
sounds and rocking her gently. "What'cha crying for, Dot?" She pulled away for him a bit,
and managed to tell him, in between sobs, " It's that..you and Wakko are gonna... leave me someday!
And..I don't want you to..." She began sobbing loudly again, and Wakko pulled out a tissue box from..nowhere,
and handed a tissue to her. She blew her red nose into it, and handed the tissue back to him.
"What makes you think that?" Wakko asked her, wiping some tears off her face with his thumb. Dot still cried a little,
and replied with, " You and Yakko said that, one day, you were gonna marry the studio Nurse. That would
mean that you'd have to leave me, all by myself." Wakko put an arm around Dot's shoulder, and looked at Yakko,
looked back at him. " Dot, listen, that..was...ahhh.....a figure of speech, I guess. We didn't really
mean it. And besides, we're far too young or...old, maybe, to be marrying her now. We'll never leave you,
at least I won't." Yakko said, in the best reassuring tone he could manage, also putting an arm around her
shoulder. Wakko smiled, "Neither will I." Dot sniffled a little. "Really? You mean it?"
"Yeah, Dot, we do."
Dot grinned, and gave both of her older brothers a big hug. "Goodnight Yakko, 'night Wakko."
The Warner Brothers smiled. "Goodnight Dot." They both said, and stood up. Yakko bent over, and gave Dot
a kiss on her forehead before he and Wakko left the room.
