It was a cold and quiet night in Keystone city. However as most of it residents were sound asleep, there was one person who was wide awake. In his complex house that he lives with his wife and two children, he walks out into the night and decides to go for a run, but in his case a walk. He stopped when he reached the statue that saluted Keystone's own superhero, the Flash, who secret identity was revealed to be Bartholomew Allen or Bart for short.

"He died so that I can come back, he died because of me."

"It's not your fault, Wally."

The man known as Wally West turned around and was standing face to face, with the creature of the night, the Batman, who was also known as Bruce Wayne.

"What do you want, Batman?"

"When you reminded me of my past sidekicks during our conversation, I knew there was more than you let on. And it's about him is it?"

"So what does it matter to you?"

"What matters kid, is that you're the only one feeling guilty."

Flash turned around and saw Jay Garrick, the Golden Age Flash.

"What are you doing here, Jay?"

"Batman called me, he told me that you wanted to talk."

"Well, Batman lied."

"No, I think Batman wanted us to talk about him," Jay told Wally as he was looking at Bart statue.

After several moments went by, Jay said, "He was a good kid, Wally, a great replacement for the Flash. You would have been proud to see him in action."

"I saw him in action several times as Kid Flash, but…"

"But never as the Flash,"stated Batman to Wally. "He had his own unique style Wally, just like you when you first got started."

"Yeah, but you don't have to live with the fact that he sacrifice his life for my own."

"I know it tough Wally, believe me," states Jay, "but in the end he did save us all from what ever Inertia had planned. He was a good kid Wally, and he wouldn't be happy knowing that his favorite hero is not doing his job."

"I know, but…" states Wally as he looked at the two men thinking about his next choice of words, "Barry, Bart, both men sacrificed their lives for me. Both men wishes to honor their legacies, when I just want to live with my family."

"It's never that easy losing a love one, believe me Wally," states Batman, "You have been given a second chance to raise them in the way you wanted to. So do yourself and Bart a favor, and try not to screw this one up."

Soon after coming into the realization of what both men were trying to tell him, Wally then stated with a small smile, "Jay could you take me home, I want to see my family."

"Of course kid," states Jay smiling at him.

"And thanks again Batman, for everything," states Wally turning to look at the Batman, but finding him gone.

"Does he always escape when the moment becomes mushy?" asked Jay.

"Nah, that just his way of showing that he does care," states Wally

As the two Speeders leave, deep within the depths of the Batcave, but far away from the seeing eyes of others. Bruce Wayne removes his mask looking at the case that contained the costume of Stephanie Brown, the fourth Robin.

"Hello Stephanie," states Bruce Wayne, "It's been a while…."

The end.

This is my response to the events that occured in Flash #232, and it's centered around the "four Robins" quote that Wally gave Batman as the JLA confronts him about his kids.

I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

Please tell me what do you all think about it.
