Please do not adjust the settings on your phone, or refresh the page on your computer. This is not a dream, you really are seeing an update from me, TEN LONG YEARS after I stopped posting new chapters to this story.

I won't go into the boring details of why I stopped posting, or what happened that made me think revising this story and changing the character roles would be a smart idea a few years back. Suffice it to say, I've come to my senses. I replaced the first four chapters of this story with the original files, and have buried the revisions deep in the files of my laptop, never to see the light of day again, heheh.

That being said, I have found a new fire and passion to complete this story. I cannot go into 2019 with this hanging over my head. In A Time of Need was my first foray into actually writing a full fledged story, and the love and dedication I received for it deserves so much more than an unfinished ending and some brutal writing. I am, obviously, ten years older than when I last wrote content for this story, and my writing has grown considerably, so I've been forced to go back to the beginning and start anew.

I have decided to post the revision as its own story, and it's going to be a different beast than the original. I'm expanding, and fleshing out scenes, and hopefully, creating a more realistic environment. I already have the first chapter finished, and will be posting that tonight. The next four chapters are nearly done, and I WILL BE finished by the end of the year.

For those who are still following me, who still check in on this story and send me reviews, thank you. From the bottom of my heat and soul, thank you for never giving up on me, showing me love, and sticking with me while I figured out where the hell my inspiration went. This story is for you.
