What does it take to be loved?

Does it take a miracle?

What does it take to be accepted?

Will it take the sacrifice of you?

Will it take my mind and soul,

With all that I've fought for?

How could I stand to be so used,

So mistreated, so abused?

I love you honey; you know that.

I could not wish for a better friend,

But it'll take some time for me to see

All that you have done for me.

You gave me hope, an inspiration

For a future of just you and me.

No lies, not tears, certainly no fears

Will come between us and our cheer.

So thank you, love.

You've cared for me well.

Now it's my turn to return the favor.

Will the gift you blessed me with

I'll do my best to serve the world.
