POWER OF A STORM
It was a very onyx night. The sky looked like it would break any minute from all the thunder, lightning, rain, and wind.
The power had gone off in the Sohma's house and the only occasional light that was seen was when the lightning would flash as it lit of the dark sky.
"This is like the very night how my mother died! This storm is as big as the storm that made my mom wreck her car and die the next day in the hospital!" cried Tohru as she clutched her silky pink covers. "Oh mother!" The tears ran down her face as the thunder boomed causing yelped out in fear.
"Damn it! I hate it when it rains! This kind of weather always makes me feel sick!" shouted Kyo. He threw back his
covers, got up, and took of his shirt. "It is as hot as hell in here!" he yelled. He sat down on the floor and leaned
against the wall.
The door opened to Kyo's room. Soft light footsteps walked over to him. The lightning flashed. "Tohru?!" asked Kyo.
Tohru collapsed on him as Kyo caught her in his arms as his eyes quickly closed, expecting the curse to turn him
into his cat form. Kyo did not change. "What the?" he asked. His mind snapped back to Tohru. She was crying...
Wait! SHE WAS CRYING!
"Tohru what's wrong?" Kyo asked as he embraced her back. Tohru gave no awser. "Tohru!" screamed Kyo. Tohru
cried harder holding him tighter. "My mom... and the storm... and..." Tohru stopped speaking. It took Kyo a moment
to understand what she was trying to say. "It is alright...don't...don't cry," he said.
'Why did she have to come to my room? Yuki would know how to comfort her better. I have no idea how to comfort
her how she wants me to.' Kyo thought. "How would Yuki comfort her?" he whispered to himself. Tohru moved even
closer to him. She cried into his bare chest. Her tears and body felt so warm to Kyo. 'So warm. It is kind of nice.' he
thought. Kyo hit his self in the head. 'Kyo you pervert!'
She still was crying. Kyo panicked. 'Think Kyo think! Cheer her up! Come on Kyo!' He told himself. ' Wait if she
wanted to be comforted like Yuki would she then she have gone to his room, but she came to mine. So she must
want me to comfort her the way I know how to.' he thought.
"My mom!" cried Tohru cried out once again. He sighed again, "Please don't cry, it will be alright. I'm... I am here," he
said. "You can sleep in here tonight if you wan to," he said as he looked away from her his face turning red. "I'm not
going to do anything, don't worry!" She looked up at him. 'No do not look at her beautiful shinny eyes!' he screamed
in his head. He looked into her eyes. Tohru had stopped crying and nodded slowly. 'Great,I am looking at them! Now
I will not be able to stop looking at them!' he thought.
Tohru let go of him as Kyo helped her up. She held to him like a small child as they walked to the bed. The
lightning flashed and the thunder rolled as the two covered themselves with the covers. Kyo laid there sweating and
blushing next to her. Tohru grabbed him again, but she did not cry. He held her back. "Are you ok now Tohru?"
Kyo asked. She nodded her head yes as she closed her eyes.
Kyo let his mind wonder, letting in her warmth. Even though it was really hot in his room it still felt good to feel the
heat coming from her body. Kyo thought back to the curse. Why had he not changed into a cat when he hugged her?
Was it because of the huge storm? Kyo's body always did act bizarre when it rained. 'That must be it! I always
hated storms, but not this one. Ha! You hear that Yuki? I can hug Tohru without turning into a cat!' Kyo cheered in
his head as he feel asleep.
