The Note That Destroyed Us All
Disclaimer-I do not own CSI or any of its characters.
Summary-He was driving along a deserted road late into the night. A note was clutched in his hands. Deals with if Sara had died in Dead Doll. Can you guess who the secret person in the story is?
Sara was gone. Dead. They were too late. And it was all his fault. He should have figured out where she was sooner, but he didn't. And it cost Sara her life. Everyone knew he blamed himself, and they tried to tell him that there was nothing he could have done. But they were wrong. He could have done so much more.
He was driving along a deserted road late into the night. A note was clutched in his hands. The radio was blaring, but he didn't hear a word of it. All he could think about was her. Sara, the love of his life. She had been brutally ripped away from him. Never again would he see her beautiful smile, hear her angelic laughter, smell her strawberry scented hair. It just wasn't fair. As all these thoughts jumbled around in his head, he steadily pushed the gas pedal harder. Her face flashed into his mind. He just couldn't take it anymore. Sara was his only light, and with her gone, there was only darkness. He sharply turned the steering wheel to the right, flying off the road and colliding with a grove of trees.
The radio was still blaring, but everything else was silent.
The CSI team was called on to investigate, but for some reason they all knew it was a suicide. But when they looked inside the car, they saw that the body was so disfigured that nobody would be able to identify him until they further examined him. It was then that they saw a note dangling in his hand. They took it and each took turns reading it. The note said, "Sara was the love of my life. Without her, I am nothing. We went through everything together in life, I figured the same should be said in death. I just wish she didn't have to experience the pain and fear that I once did." When all of them had finished reading it, they knew who it was, and pain and grief filled their hearts. One of their own had taken his life. Another tragedy in their family. Sara's death had killed them. But now her death, combined with his, now they were defeated. Now they were destroyed.
Did you figure out who it is? Here's a hint: It's in the note. Not one of my best stories, but I hope you enjoyed it!
