Stealing Has Its Exceptions

Edward stared at Bella intensely, trying to search for a spark in her beautiful brown orbs that would hint to her lying. But indeed, the frown of impatience on her face was set, with her eyeing him carefully. Sighing, Edward folded his arms across his chest.

"You want me to steal it?"

She nodded once. "Yes."

"Can't you wait for it to come out?" He was incredulous.

Bella rolled her eyes. "I've waited long enough."

"There's only a week left though!" Edward protested, completely stunned that his Bella would ask—almost demand, at that—for him to use his superhuman speed to steal, of all the most immorally wrong things for sweet, pure Bella. But the serious expression locked on her face proved him wrong—proved to Edward that a slight pang of badness lingered in her good soul.

"I won't steal it."

"Fine." Bella smirked. "I'll get Emmett to do it. I'm sure he won't mind."

His eyes widened. "It's just a book!"

Much to his shock, her face turned a shade of purple; her bottom lip puckered in silent fury, like a child about to explode into a temper tantrum. Nostrils flaring and eyes narrowed, she pointed an accusing finger at him. "It's not just a book"—she shook her head the ridiculousness of it—"it's a book series with wonderful characters, a load of drama and anguish, and I need to know what happens because I'm going to go insane if it doesn't come out!"

"A week," Edward stated bluntly, "There are seven days left…"

"If you don't steal it from the stock for me," Bella said lowly, her eyes hardening, "Then I won't speak or look at you for 'a week'."

He blinked, utterly dumbfounded. "It's… a book!"

"I'll do it," Bella threatened, "I won't look at you or talk to you."

"WHY—?!"

"Because!" She widened her eyes for the dramatic statement. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is worth stealing!"
