Ok chapter is fixed.

Swear I posted this years ago. Happen to get an alert for this story and decided to read it for old time sake. I was surprised to find the last chapter not posted. Thankfully it was in my dropbox with the rest of the last dozen or so chapters. So here you guys go, sorry for the wait.

I don't own harry potter if I did Severus wouldn't have died.

You would think after facing a multitude of people trying to kill him, his uncle and dumbles something like getting married would be easy, especially when he was marrying Severus. It was clear that the man adored him; Voldemort would have probably gutted him if he hadn't. The man was rather protective of his newly discovered grandson.

It was hard to believe that two years had already passed since they first got together. Of course a lot had happened. They had after all basically overthrown the government during that time, not that the masses knew about it. It had been rather easy after Dumbles had been taken out of the picture. The wizarding world particularly worshipped him. They had eaten up the tale of a corrupt headmaster and the courageous young teen hero who had managed to stand up to him. Any law he endorsed or candidate he supported gained immediate support.

Lucius in particular was well loved. He had immediately started clearing out the corrupted members and overturning biased laws. Many members of the order of the phoenix had been among the ones removed. Not all, Kinsley and Bones for example had proven to be clean as well as several others Harry had not been overly familiar with.

Harry wasn't sure how much they had been aware of but Madam Bones had been horrified when they had raided Dumbles home and found evidence of several of the headmaster's crimes which had included stealing from several other students.

Harry had been saddened but not surprised to learn that both Molly and Arthur and been aware of Dumbledore's actions against him, though Arthur hadn't been aware of all the details. What had been surprising was the traces of memory tampering that had been found on the twins. Apparently they had reacted poorly to discovering what their parents and the headmaster where doing to and the man had erased their memories.

However no amount of logic could calm the butterflies in his stomach. He had an overwhelming urge to bolt as he looked stared at his reflection in the mirror in front of him. Part of it probably had to do with the huge fiasco that his wedding had become.

As the grandson of the Dark Lord, the heir of several noble houses a small wedding was completely out of the question. There were over 1,000 in the hall waiting to see him get married. Harry was pretty sure that pretty much anyone who was anyone was attending today, had been arrested for siding with dumbles or suspected of being a threat. There were lords, councilors, even 2 kings and an emperor here to see this wedding. Apparently the wizarding world had more royalty then the mundane one.

And then there was all the trouble that had happened weeks before the wedding. Not everyone had been happy about Dumbles death. There had been several attempts on his life, especially after it had been revealed that he was the Dark Lord's heir. Most have them haven't Harry suspected that neither thing was the main reason why he was so tense.

For far to long any time he had found something that made him happy it had either been destroyed, mostly like the Durselys', or turned out to be nothing more than a false dream like his so called friends. A part of him was afraid that this was going to disappear as well.

Which was why he was currently pacing back in forth across a blood red carpet in an expensive "dressing room" that had been converted for him to get ready. Harry was pretty sure that the red and gold colors hadn't been there before hand. Most of Slyterin's castle was the typical colors one would expected, silver, green and black.

"Stop worrying, you are going to wear a hole through the floor," Lucius murmured from behind him. Harry spun to face the blonde. The man was dressed in a dark grey robe with a silver vest that matched the color of eyes perfectly. Harry spared a moment to be slightly jealous of the man's poise and grace. He still had trouble walking in the complicated robes that he was often expected to wear.

"Sorry, I just can't help but be nervous," the younger man admitted, fidgeting under the other man's gaze. The older man smiled softly. He gestured toward a chair. Harry let out a soft sigh then sat.

"I have known Severus for decades and I have never seen the man so happy as he is with you. He loves you with all his admittedly snarky heart. Not to mention the minute he sees you wearing those robes he will no doubt fall for you all over again." The Slytherin explained with a smug smirk.

Harry had to chuckle despite his nerves. The emerald green robe he wore, complete with golden dragons and green serpents made with chips of real emeralds had been created by Lucius' tailor. The man had dragged him to visit the man's shop, and insisted on paying for everything. Harry was pretty sure that small islands cost less then his wedding robes.

"Its time," his grandfather called, opening the door. Harry stood, gathered his nerves and reached forward to grab the arm the Dark Lord extended. Arms linked, his grandfather led him towards the large double doors that led to where the wedding took place.

A man Harry didn't recognize open the door. Lines of people sat dressed in a sea of colors. Standing by the alter next to a priest, stood Severus. The man looked incredibly handsome in his black robes with green cuffs and emerald serpents that matched the ones of Harry's robes.

Black eyes met green and everything fell away. Suddenly nothing mattered but the man before him. Smiling he stepped forward towards the beginning of the rest of his life. He was sure that no matter what life threw at them they would live happily ever after, no matter how cliché it would be. Or how much Severus would likely complained about being compared to some ridiculous fairy tale.
