Galinda, Shenshen and Pfannee all crowded around a simple wooden table, and sat down, faces rattled with disgust. They were in the dining hall at Shiz, in a rather crowded area.

"Ahh, I suppose, we'll have to make do," sighed Galinda, sitting down. "But at least I have something to take my mind off it this horrendible table, and rather horrendible people," She added this when noticing the crowd of less popular people. Mental note: always get reservations.

"What?" asked Pfannee.

Galinda grinned sheepishly, like someone with secret.

"What?" asked Pfannee again, leaning over the table.

"Fiyero and I are going to the most romantic restaurant tonight." Galinda wriggled. "Oh, Oz, is he the sweetest or what?"

Pfannee nodded excitedly but Shenshen hesitated. "Sounds like you two are hitting off…"

Galinda stopped when detecting her friend's apprehensive tone. "Yes, we are," she responded stiffly.

"So…I have no chance?"

Galinda stiffened, and placed her hand on Shenshen's shoulder.

"Hands clasp, lips meet,

He makes my heart begin to beat,

All around in a carefree swirl.

He is my boy, and I am his girl.

We are in love, yes it true,

He is not in love with you!

We may make you want to hurl—"

Galinda stopped, and looked over in her friends' direction. "Shenshen, yes, I heard you." Shenshen smiled weakly and shifted.

"—But he is my boy, and I am his girl.

Every so often, you may feel, like we'll break up in the end,

But that won't clog the hurt you'll feel, when the truth seeps back in.

Rippling muscles, darkened eyes,

His gaze, oh it…mystifies.

He loves my hair, every strand and curl,

It just goes to show,

He loves me so.

I am his girl."

Satisfied, Galinda sat down and stared at her nails, while Shenshen looked on anxiously. She shuffled her feet. "So…is that final? I mean…so you're not going to break up with him? Ever?"

Galinda didn't look up. "Nope. Never. He's too perfect."

"Well, that's wonderful. He'll never break up with you."

"Why thank-you." Galinda beamed. "That just brightened my day." So, smiling, she jumped up and flounced away, calling over her shoulder, "We'll be together forever, don't you worry, girls."
