I posted this on MSMF a few weeks ago and finally decided to put it here. Yes, this is a new, multi-chapter fic. However, I'd like to make it clear updates may be a bit slow. I'm trying to work on updating more, but even so this isn't a focus fic of mine right now. So, consider this a preview of sorts. Any advice/critique/comments are appreciated as usual.

Also, just an FYI: I'm currently taking one shot requests in celebration of my 30000th pageview on DeviantART. If you want one, please read the details on my profile page here and PM ME. Please don't post on this asking for one, cause all I'll do is tell you to make sure you've read the info in my profile anyways.

Anyways, to give you a little bit of an idea of what this new fic is about, it's OC driven. Yes, that means it's mostly OCs. I wanted to get that out of the way so those of you who dislike that kinda thing can jump ship. I'm hoping to have some good, non Mary Sue OCs in this, but there will be a lot of OCs good or bad. Let's hope for good, shall we? XD Of course, it's not just some random story I decided to call an SRMTHG story and post here. Nonononono. This is indeed an SRMTHG story. It's just got some new characters taking the wheel.

Stories like this are hard to write, and harder to write well, but I hope you guys enjoy.

Disclaimer: SRMTHG belongs to Disney/Jetix. Any characters in this thing not from the SRMTHG television series are ones I created myself unless otherwise noted.

Rebirth
By Netbug009

Dawn. At least, it was getting there. Dim light began to leak through the same cracks in the cavern that made the place drafty. If anybody else had been down there, they would have been freezing, but not this man.

He dropped from a rock ledge to the metal floor below. Unfortunately, he had underestimated how damp it was and slipped on the new surface. He let out a short gasp at he fell onto his back. He took it well though, quickly getting back on his feet without a single gripe and pressing on more carefully.

He found what he was looking for; a huge hole in the center of the metal below his feet. This time instead of jumping he lowered himself down slowly before letting go of the edge and only dropping a foot or two into a hallway. He didn't even question which direction to head. The pathway was locked tightly into his memory from countless visits over the years, not to mention all the time before that. It only took him a few minutes to reach the room he desired.

No matter how many times the man came here he was filled with nostalgia by it. He walked up to the egg chair with the black innards and sat down in it, hitting a button near his arm to turn on the lights. He sat up strait, simply admiring the room and smiling at the memories it held for him. Yet, at the same time, it all made him very sad.

He sighed and stood up, brushing off the dust that the chair had gotten on him. He turned towards the door and began to head out.

When he was almost at the doorframe, a loud noise sounded. The man immediately stopped. A moment later he turned and looked up at the red light flashing above the monitor. The light's blinks were in time with the noise.

The alarm. Finally.

It was time.
